Hotel Il Principe - Catania

I didn't use wi-fi in my room.It was very very inconvienient for me.But this hotel had a public computer and could also print out my document. There were some restaurants and bars around the hotel.So the day before holidays,it was very noisy!

Service was great and very friendly and helpful , would recommend highly again .

Pros: Staff helpful, esp Luca at the desk. Thank you Luca! Other staff also helpful when booking excursions. Very central hotel location. Free strong wifi with our room rate. Most staff multi-lingual, which is not common in Catania and rest of Sicily. Good decent breakfast. Check out is noon. Cons: Shower room tiny, hotel due for renovation.

Unfortunately wi-fi only available in public areas. Lovely hotel in a very convenient location

It stands in the city center, just a few minutes walk from Piazza Universita or Via Crociferi. It is very convenient for tourists to explode old town.

Excellent hotel with excellent service. The only weakness would be in the internet option, which was not working.

El hotel está perfecto en cuanto a ubicación, trato personal, limpieza etc. Lo único que creo que no se corresponde con un 4 estrellas es el desayuno. Es escaso y poco variado. Por lo demás totalmente recomendable.

Nice hotel, well located, pleasantly decorated, good breakfast, excellent relation between quality and price. Many thanks to the well trained and kind personnel, especially to Lucca (from the reception desk) who is likely to be born for such a job. There is also a nice traditional restaurant in the vicinity of Il Principe Hotel. It's called Anticca Sicilia. Do not miss it!

Bus station to and from the airport nearby, "pizzeria college" 2 min. from the hotel, seafood rest. at the fishmarket very close. in catania we had no car, was not important.

We stayed 2 nights and all the staff at Il Principe were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful- the best on our trip to date (4 other places). However, driving directions to the hotel were poor and we needed help in finding it.

Even though you had to drive around to get to the hotel, once you got there you were welcomed by a very efficient and polite staff. They made sure you were treated like a king. the surraundings are perfect. can walk to the duomo, i giardini, restaurants, via etnea etc. When we return to Italy in a couple of years, Catania is one of the places we will visit and of course we will be staying at Hotel Il Principe.

The stay was good, location perfect and the staff very helpful...esp as we don't speak much italian. However, we had a room on the ground floor which made it very noisy (street outside) and the fridge in the room made areoplane noises throughout the night. A good stay marred but the street and fridge noise.

The Hotel is nice, but the best thing are the employees: they are really kind and made me feel at home!!!

A very good hotel located close to excellent restaurants. Cars need parking by the hotel staff.
