It is a kindly hotel, the rooms are old-fashioned but very spacious. Welcoming was excellent at midnight and it is located in the centre of Catania, in the beginning of Via Etnea. The only problem is traffic at night, a bit noisy.

In web pages is written: free parking (parcheggio gratuito). THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! There is no parking and they gave us the possibility to park our car in a public parking 300 meters from the hotel, paying the "special" price of 15 € for 1 night. They gave us for compensation free italian breakfast.

Small and recently refurbished hotel on the upper floor (lift) of a block just off Via Etna. Friendly enough reception, but very little English spoken. Room was smallish but well appointed and reasonably quiet. Getting the car near the hotel and then parking was a big problem. The one-way system is difficult and not marked on my map, many roads were closed to traffic. There is street parking within about 100m of the hotel, but you can't even stop a car outside the hotel to find this out due to the highest population of traffic wardens I have ever encountered!. Parking tickets are, bizarrely, only available from certain bars, so you need to stock up if you are going to arrive outside normal hours and don't want to get up at 7am to find a ticket.

From Catania train station take the bus line 1/4, 4/7, 429, 432, 448, 449.

By airplane
From the airport, take the Alibus bus and get off in via Etnea, at the corner of via Pacini.
