Hotel Agathae - Catania

I stayed at Hotel Agathae for two nights in October of this year. I was very pleased with the location, the help I got from the staff, and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. I stayed in a single room which was quite small, but good enough for one person. Breakfast had a variety of the typical Italian specialties, cookies, cakes, fruit yogurt, juices and fresh made coffee. I would recommend this hotel and would also stay there again.

I have made this travel with my mother (88 years old!!!) and it was the second time that y was been in this hotel. For us all very good

The Hotel Agathae is very conveniently located in the historic district of Catania, and easily reached by city bus from the railway station on several frequently run routes. For a single room, it was quite comfortable. It appeared the hotel had recently been remodeled, with new bathroom tiling and fixtures, carpeting in the hallways, etc. The entrance to the hotel, while well marked, is not on the street, but rather down the walkway to the building's courtyard. However, it is a bit confusing to get to the reception, especially with your bags. The reception is on the 1st floor (we call it the 2nd floor) and the elevator does not stop on that floor. You can take them up to the 2nd floor,rather than leave them at the ground entrance, and leave them while you go back down to check in. Whoever is on duty can then show the way to your room. The hotel takes up at least 2 floors of an old apartment building. The ceiling in my room looked to be at least 20 feet or more high! My room had a little balcony overlooking the courtyard and the well-kept neighboring apartments. The breakfast room also opened onto the courtyard with a terrace. The hotel also had a conference room/TV room. All was tastefully decorated. It was defintely a great value, and the staff was very helpful and gracious.

Hotel Agathae is a nice and clean hotel in the middle of Catania. It is owned and run by two charming sisters who have clearly selected wonderful employees for their staff. A special note can be added that the wireless internet access worked very well in the rooms without any problems. I can recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the center of Catania.

Good position in the city

My stay at Hotel Agathae was just for one night. It was the last destination of my vacation... chosen because it was close to the Catania Airport. The hotel is convienently located in the heart of the city. I was very pleased with the room accommodations. The room was very clean, nice sheets and pillow, large in size with high ceilings and a spacious bathroom. Nicely furnished. Large balcony doors faced out to a lovely courtyard. I can not comment on the hotel services as my stay was just an ovenighter. If you are driving a car, the hotel check-in is difficult. There is no onsight parking or drive up drop off. You need to park your car at a nearby public garage.

Hotel posto in location faoritissima, dalla quale sono facilmente raggiungibili tutti i siti di maggiore interesse turistico e storico. personale altamente qualificato, molto disponibile ed accogliente. estrema pulizia degli spazi comuni e non; colazione ricca e di ottima qualità.
