Sehr unpersönlich, einfallsloses Frühstück, unser Zimmer hatte eine große Trasse, die leider von Taubenkot verschandelt war, mit schmutzigen Liegestühlen. Teuerer Internetzugang. Wunderbar gelegen mit einem herrlichen fast 360-Grad-Blick aber leider nicht besonders komfortabel.

This was the first visit to this excellent hotel which sits in magnificant surroundings. However the reception staff were indifferent on check in and the laundry service was poor and expensive. Three days for 4 polo shirts was ridiculous

One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was that it advertised a restaurant however on arrival we were told was closed until the weekend and we would have to go out to eat in the evening. As it is several miles from the nearest village this was very inconvenient however we did find some excellent restaurants in which to eat. When the hotel final opened in the evening the food was very disappointing - we tried it two nights then decided travelling to good restaurants was far preferable. We found the staff far from welcoming and the cost of food and bar very high . Had it not been for the fact we had two elderly ladies in our party we would have moved. Perhaps the hotel feels that it does not need to provide good service as guests will be attracted by the location however there are many many hotels with as good or better location from which to choose

How to reach Hotel Casafrassi

By car
From the North: take the motorway A1 and exit at Firenze Certosa. Proceed along the superstrada Firenze Siena and exit at San Donato. Continue straight along until Castellina in Chianti. Once in Castellina follow the indications to Siena. After about 6 km you will recognize on the right the Fonterutoli village; pass the village and after 1 km turn left.
From the South: take the motorway A1 and exit at Valdichiana. Take the superstrada Siena Bettolle and exit at Siena. From there follow the indications for Castellina in Chianti.
