This was a wonderful location for a relaxing autumn break. Susannah and Massimo were welcoming (even though we were arriving very late) and offered true Italian hospitality. We enjoyed lovely home cooked meals on both evenings we were there. Susannah's directions to Le Boscarecce were spot on (it is a challenge) and her advice on where to visit was superb. I know this part of Tuscany well or thought I did until I got Susannah's insights. We even managed to drive into Florence following Susannah's clear instructions. The rooms were large and very comfortable and it was lovely to wander across the courtyard from our room to have our meals. One of the highlights was the view from our bedroom window - picture postcard. We were lucky to have sunshine every day. Le Boscaecce is in the heart of Tuscan countryside and if you want to get away from it all this is where to go. We can't wait to go back.

Besides locking ourselves out of the room at 1:30 in the morning, and having to wake up Susanne, our stay was amazing. We really enjoyed the warm and family-like atmosphere. Susanna and her staff did a wonderful job with making us feel at home! We were given great tips of the places to see and visit, and detailed instructions on how to get there. The food (which Susanna prepares herself) is amazing! She gave us a taste of homemade Tuscan food, and it is something you can not get at a restaurant. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience Tuscany! It is on a nice location close to everything (Pisa, Florence, Vinci, San Gimingnano, etc.)

This is a beautiful & very peaceful guest house with wonderful views across the Tuscan hills. Owner & staff very friendly & helpful.You do need a car as the last part of the access is along about 2 miles of country track easy enough after initial finding. A very good base as there are many places of interest within easy reach. Room full of character & excellent size. All in all a beautiful Tuscan retreat.

avons passé un séjour très agréable dans un endroit magnifique, tranquille. Remercions Suzanna pour son accueil et sa gentillesse, ses bons conseils pour l'organisation de nos visites touristiques. Le restaurant ne propose plus la même carte qui selon moi mériterait d'être plus grande (surtout en cas de séjour un peu long). Mais c'est avec plaisir que nous retournerons faire un petit tour du côté de Suzanna et la campagne Toscane.

Le Boscarecce was a very quiet, romantic place to stay. Susanna works very hard to make her guests feel welcomed and relaxed. Their restaurant on the terrace was fabulous! The chef used home-grown and local ingredients in our excellent meal. Le Boscarecce is THE place for a romantic Tuscan vacation. But please call Susanna for directions if you aren't familiar with the location.

Beautiful place but very isolated - not in Castelfiorento itself as we expected. Would be hard to find in the dark, so some guests may be reluctant to venture back out into nearest town for food in the evening. Hotel restaurant was expensive and food rather pretentious. Lovely friendly and helpful owners.

Susanna and her daughter Swan were most helpful and made our visit to Tuscany most rewarding. It could not have been a better experience.

Beautiful hotel with nice staff, quite location. Good for chilling or base for sight seeing as major cities (Florence, Pisa, Siena) are close.

This is a rare find. It is great value for your money and the owner and her family are very welcoming and helpful in providing maps, plans etc. to all the interesting towns in the area to go visit. The location is beautiful and my wife and I felt completely at home. The menu meals at night were very gourmet and the breakfast Sussanah provided was substantial. We would recommend this place very highly. We are definitely going back.

Location for a traveler with a car is excellent,easy accessibility to any attraction point in Toscana.But the main value of staying here is the owner Susanna. Her readiness to assist the traveller who ask for any kind of guidness is enormous and she is doing it with a lot of knowledge and affection. We appreciate it.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet area from which we could visit some of Tuscany cities and enjoy nature in Autumn (olive trees and vineyards were particularly wonderful). What we found was great! We could enjoy visiting Firenze and Siena, we went there by train from Castelfiorentino, which is 3 km away from the Boscarece, very convenient as access to these cities by car is very difficult. We could also visit Voltera which is located a bit more than half an hour from Castelfiorentino, and also San Gimignano, a great medieval city. We only had our dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and that was great, too - excellent food and pretty nice cooking. We stayed there for two more days as accomodation was available. We are French and the staff speaks French, which is a good point considering our very poor Italian...! The only problem, which can be solved quite easily, is the location. We had read on the site from previous guest's comments that it was not that easy to get to the Boscarecce; so we especially payed attention to that point. For French fellows, please just type the address on Michelin.com and print the arrival information.When you are in Castelfiorentino, you have to find the Via Del Vallone; in order to do this, you have to turn right at the traffic light located down after the bridge (via Giordano Bruno) and right again (direction Renai)you drive past under the bridge,and you follow that quite long and sinuous road as far as a T. There, you turn left. The road is in a very poor condition, but keep on driving, the hotel is located on your right about one kilometre away (there is a gate with an intercom system, you ring and the gate is opened for you). The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. Susanna, our hostess/owner, was extremely helpful from the emails to our meeting her in person. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The Tuscan food was excellent and the atmosphere and preparation of the dinners reflected four star care, preparation and presentation. The location was convenient to many of the eastern Tuscan towns and daytripping was easy. Susanna took time to give wonderful recommendations and directions for all of our trips. We would recommend this villa to anyone who would like a very special Tuscan vacation!

This place was beautiful! But not actually in Castelfiorntino. Finding it was a challenge, but well worth it when we got there. The grounds were welcoming and superb, the area by the pool was sunny and quiet, just a wonderfully relaxing place to be. The dinner was among the best we've ever had in our lives. We felt very pampered being there.

A wonderful place to stay. A quiet area with a great view of the region. It was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The staff were very good to us and we would go back to stay with them anytime we are in the region.
