A good hotel though the surroundings are a bit ugly. Convenient to the Autostrada. Quiet and clean with breakfast make it a good value.

The directions were absolutely wrong! It is 4x the distance from the train station instead of walking distance as described! Take a taxi instead of wandering around the city because it's not to the right of the main station at all, but left of the Reggia about 3 miles. The staff was very nice though and the room was extremely clean.

If you want a good night's sleep, don't stay at the Aurelio. The beds are incredibly hard, and the cleaning staff hold long, noisy conversations in the corridors between 11pm and mid-night.

Very tidy and clean hotel. Furnishing was old but good enough. Night receptionist very helpful and friendly

The hotel was rather hard to find and far away from the city centre. Breakfast was less than basic. The major complaint was the bathroom: taking a bath resulted in flooding not only the bathroom itself but also the corridor and earned us a very rude rebuke from the hotel's employee. The absence of the elevator is not really a major issue.

Map of the hotel's location is totally wrong. Hotel Aurelio is located beyond the Autostrada and not close to the city center of Caserta. Not well suited, if you are travelling without a car. Good rooms at good price.

This hotel was much as we expected. However it was difficult to find despite having maps etc. I think it was good value for money and the staff were extremly helpful although they speak almost no English.

I was misled that the hotel was in Caserta. In fact it is in the next very commercialized neighborhood. I wasted alot of time so was unable to visit the palace and gardens. The manager spoke no English but tried to convince me that the photo on the website and his property were one and the same. My eyes told me otherwise and the address was in the Province of Caserta but not the town.

Situated in a busy lower class area, the hotel is tucked behind a service station's car wash, so you may miss it the first time. Parking lot is small. No elevator. We stayed mid-april. Room was very clean but walls are thin. No heating the first night due to a technical difficulty. They gave us extra blankets and tried their best. Second night was toasty warm. Nice staff. Breakfast was OK

The hotel is very clean and modern and efficient. The location is 3 towns outside of the city center of Caserta. The taxi fare to the stanzione is excessive. There is not much to do within walking distance of the hotel. The staff is very limited on speaking English. They are not very helpful when asking for recommendations on dining or touring. There is no elevator and the breakfast is merely average.

The plumbing did not work. Hotel hard to find. No minibar as indicated in reservation. Generally poor quality service.

The hotel, is easy to get to once you get off the Autostade. A right then a block or so on the left side from Casserta Nord. Just up the street about a mile or so is the Reggia, the palace of the former king of Naples. If you are in the area stop by it is awesome.!

We really liked this hotel once we found it. We got lost in Casserta, which was because we took a left turn instead of a right off the Autostrada. The hotel included parking, which was good. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. When we drove through Casserta on our return to see the Regia di Casserta, we stopped and asked Roberto for directions, which he accurately provided. The hotel is on a busy noisy street, but the blinds kept it very quiet. We would recommend this hotel for someone wanting to avoid Naples traffic on a late trip from Rome.

Hotel very near North Exit for Caserta. Bathroom shower was a problem. Water runs over the entire floor and there was no drain.

Aurelio was an interesting hotel. Not much English is spoken but the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms have been modernised, but oddly so. Our bathroom did not have a shower curtain and the floor was totally flooded by the time my husband and I had a shower - as soon as that happened the hair dryer which was 'stuck' on the wall in the bathroom fell off because of the moisture in the room. I'm not sure how often that happens - but we stuck it back up and it fell off again 15 minutes later :-) The floor and rooms are all tiled floors and as such ALL sound is amplified. I could hear people talking 4 rooms down whilst trying to sleep in the night. Utility hotel.

Our trip was to see Naples and Pompeii. Very glad we didn't stay in Naples. The Aurelio Hotel was very welcoming although limited English spoken. We had some difficulty finding hotel which can be easily found from the Autostrade A1 Caserta Nord exit, after leaving toll station go to junction and turn right. Go past Esso petrol station then look for Q8 petrol station and hotel is behind it. The staff made us very welcome and despite limited English went out of their way to be helpful. All rooms have en suite bathrooms including toilet, shower and bidet. Compared to other hotels this is very clean good value for money. Naples is 15 minutes drive and costs 1.4 Euro on Autostrade.

The location for visiting Caserta is HORRIBLE!! It's so far away from the palace that taxi fares are double the meter rate, and there's no restaurant anywhere nearby. Had we known this beforehand, we'd have spent the extra €30 to stay at the Hotel Jolly. It was a miserable experience!

The hotel was clean with adequate facilities. We only stayed one night on our way south and it was ideal for this type of stay. We found a local resturant close by which was fine. The breakfast is very basic compared with other hotels of this type.

We originally chose the Aurelio because of location in our travel agenda, and what we saw on the internet. We couldn't have been more pleased; it was really even nicer than the pictures suggested. And, although, there was a bit of a language barrier, everything was handled well and with good spirits. We'd definitely stay again, if the occasion arose.

Nice hotel, but 2 km from anywhere including places to eat. Ok if you have a car but difficult if you do not (especially, in 36* C weather).
