Very good accommodation and breakfast. Good pool. Friendly staff. Neighbouring Bierkellar played very load, heavy music till 04:00am on Friday & Saturday. Tolerable only if windows are shut.

The hotel roooms were currently being renovated. The new rooms looked to be a big improvement on the existing ones. That said the hotel is in a nice position about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Cascais.

This is a wonderful hotel and it is a shame to critisize anything BUT when we arrived upgrading the 5th floor was still going on from 8amto 7pm.According to net sources tese were finished at the beginning of the month! There was no water in the swimming pool ...unfortunately they only have one --outside and to be fair the weather was a little cold so there were no takers anyway but I would have still used it.The assistant manager was kindness itself and arranged for us to visit a neighbouring hotel with a heated pool ...HOW ABOUT THAT FOR SERVICE.The rooms were fabulous but we found the maids to be a little lax maybe it was because of all the alterations going on generating noise and dust.The breakfasts were good although I did not find them up to the standard of other Vila Gale hotels.All in all it is still a terrific hotel and the staff are very efficient and obliging.The walks in both directions along the coast are wonderful and it takes about 10 minutes to get to town(or use BUSCAS service ....every 7 minutes! or rent a bike BIKCAS)

There was some reconstruction and refurbishing of rooms going on so a return visit would probably result in higher ratings. Hotel located 15-20 minutes from town and train to Lisbon so was great in that aspect.

On arrival we found that the Hotel was undergoing extensive refurbishment involving three of the five floors. This included the floor above our allocated room. Building work took place between 0700 and 1700hr Monday to Saturday inc. I feel we should have been informed of this situation whilst booking this Hotel as we were looking for a quiet break and would have made alternative arrangements had we known. I would appreciate your comments.

I stayed in Cascais for 2 weeks. The rooms were very spacious and clean with lovely balconies to let in the breeze. Located close to the marina and right next to the coast - about a 15 minute walk to the center of town.

This was my second stay and I would go back every year. All the staff are extremely friendly and very competent. Strongly recommend! Cascais is one of the best places in the world!

It was a huge and brilliant room but the hotel is a little far from the city centre. I would reccommend you to have your own private transport from the station.

Great hotel.Room was like a studio apartment with full kitchen,dining etc. Best breakfast I've had in a European hotel. The one and only downside is the beds which are quite hard. Location is good.About 10-15 minute walk from centre of Cascais.The hotel caters for a lot of package tours who are mainly retired people. We were the youngest guests by far but this may have had something to do with the time of year as it was at the end of May

Nice Hotel, shame about the MAJOR building works next door (Noisy). Further from marina and the resort centre than we expected. Hotel reception is on the opposite side to the main road.
