Hotel Villa La Malva - Poggio alla Malva, Carmignano

Very helpful. As I arrived late in the evening, the staff were there to allow me to check in.

Our hotel was exactly as it appeared on line and we were very satisfied and pleased with the location, the beautiful view and the accommodations. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable. It was conveniently located to the train station by car (approx. 10 minutes). We would definitely stay at Villa La Malva again.

This is a beatiful place to stay in, the only negative being that there is no lunch and dinner services. The surrounding areas have very few restaurants on offer as well, and to even find these is a mission. The restaurants in the area are quite expensive, so finding something for dinner especially can prove to be very difficult. Besides this factor, it was a wonderful stay, Christine is very helpful and friendly and I would highly recommend this place to other travellers. The views are amazing and I love the fact that it was nestled in the countryside. The best was getting to the venue and seeing that it is exactly as the pictures on the website depict!

Found the place difficult to find, but that was in part that we did not have a very detailed map. Found it eventually after two hours so was relieved then. Made welcome and was given good room with nice views and a nice area to sit outside our room. Couple running the hotel very nice indeed. Breakfast was fine, the usual continental one. Car parking area was narrow and very steap, which was abit of a problem turning around to get out. Overall good stay.

The landlady at La Malva was both very friendly and helpful with first class practical advice. Breakfast was excellent and the terrace bar in the evening was very much appreciated. The not obvious, but very convenient train connection to downtown Florence was a nice surprise for us.

We spent 5 nights at Villa La Malva (actually 1 more than planned) and did not regret it. Very friendly team, extremely helpful and easy going. A swimming pool next year would be nice since there's not a lot you can do at the hotel but view, breakfast, rooms are very good. PS: Dinner places around are not numerous and we found the tratoria suggested rather expensive and unfriendly; we found an excellent value for money location: try out "Enrico's" just opposite the train station in Signa - very good family run place where lots of locals seem to go.

This was my first time to Villa La Malva, in Poggio alla Malva. I stayed for one night and would have loved to stay much longer. The surrounding region is breathtakingly beautiful and the nearby villages were exceptionally friendly and immensely interesting. The villa owner treated us more as friends than clients. That short memory will last forever I hope I can return one day.

Disappo9inted that your hotel description did not mention that dinner was not available and a minimum 10/15 minuteds drive was necessary to find a restaurant. Your description on how to find the hotel was poor and out of date.

Hotel is at the entrance of a really small village. The location is beautiful, having a marvelous view on Tuscan hills covered by olive trees. My room was large, comfortable and with a private terrace. During our stay, some works were in progress, in order to arrange the garden around the villa, and also the breakfast room was not available, but we got a good breakfast in our room. The villa location is perfect for visiting the ancient towns around, like Artimino or Vinci, and Florence is reachable in half an hour drive.
