All aspects of the hotel were very good. No complaints whatsoever. Unfortunatly in the Jazz Bar which belongs to the hotel I understand I had a rarther nasty experience. Your barman James is a con merchant.I ordered and paid for two drinks and only received one. After asking for the other was told I had had it which I hadn't. For the rest of the night the named barman ignored me. Iknow its not much appx £3.50 but I wonder if he rips the hotel off aswell. Would like to have a reply but probably wont

Be aware: we placed an updated map of the UK on Tom Tom and it did not include the fact that downtown Cardiff is no longer vehicle accessible - it has become a pedestrian way, so we were continually directed to go down streets that were no longer there. When we finally called the hotel, tyhe young woman at the desk was absolutely wonderful. She talked us down to the parking garage and then to the hotel. She was pleasant, patient, and alone and busy. We were impressed. The parking is 9.00 quid a night, but we were charged 18. it is about two blocks and a little more to the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant below that is good, not great. It's a jazz bar, and the music was excellent and live. In the room, the bathroom door did not close. The bath was outdated, but the room and bath were very clean. All in all, though not our favorite hotel on our journey, it was very nice, due in large part to the quality of service we received.

Excellent location close to train station and city centre but located on noisy street, between pub and jazz club. Building work started early in building next door, bring ear plugs if you need quiet to sleep. No lift, narrow stairs, ask staff to help with heavy bags.

Very good location in Cardiff (close to shops, bars, car parks, castle,...) Staff very friendly (even one receptionist speaking french). Full traditional english breakfast. Bonus: the hotel is coupled with a Jazz Cafe (ground floor): friendly staff, good food, good live music for a good price (reduction for the hotel residents) Only restriction for us, our room was not strictly clean, the bathroom was wet (ventilation issue), decoration 'old fashion', noise from the restaurant underneath until 10PM. Tips: reduction for the NCP car park (very close to) provided at the hotel reception.

Good quality hotel very near to both coach and train stations. There is no lift in the hotel but we were accomodated at 1st floor fortunately. Both room and bath were spacious enough. The hotel is located just in the city centre so that all shops, markets, pubs and restaurants are nearby.

It was a shame that a number of residence made a lot of noise at 4 am both mornings, on their way home from a night out, we were there which woke us up. There was unfortunately a number of inconsiderate guests banging doors etc.
