I was not impressed with the lamb navarin that was served at our our gala dinner. I was served only one small piece of lamb which I could not get my fork in.

It was my first time at this hotel. The hotel is very nice, but far from the city centre, so it is not convenient if you don't have a car.

Hotel staff were very good in general. Prices for drinks were overpriced for glass of wine. We up graded our room and it was not hoovered the whole stay there. We had to ask for clean towels, they did not replenish bathroom access.on a daily basis. Facilities in Connosiers Lounge which you pay extra for was not up to standard, the mini bar states to help yourself to Coke etc which there never was anything but milk, orange juice and tomato juice, snacks were very rare to be had. Not sure why we paid more to use this room. The location was ideal as we did have a hire car. We would use this hotel again but would not upgrade as we did not see what we paid for and do not think that the room was worth the extra that the hotel quotes, but we did get a good deal via Venere which was excellent.

I would have loved to have given a 10 across the board, but unfortunately the hotel allowed a 'Prom Night' to be held there on the Friday night and many of us were kept awake the entire night by unruly, uncontrolled, drunken youngsters and this was very upsetting to say the least. I did not expect this from a four star hotel. I left time for completeing this form to see whether I was going to receive an apology from the hotel. As I have not done so, I feel it right I should say what I think. The food at the hotel was excellent but we did have to wait a long time for it on all three occasions. The restaurant and bar staff were very efficeint and pleasant. We were attending a convention at the Millenium Stadium for three days and really did need our sleep. The situation of this hotel was almost ideal and could have been a long-term answer to our yearly requirements. Now I am not too sure. It is in a lovely position and I am saddened by the lack of care from the hotel in this case. If one could be guarunteed peace it would be ideal in every respect. Although I have ticked that I would not return to this hotel, I would after first ascertaining exactly what large groups would be there at the same time! After all, it is a very nice Hotel!

When we arrived in the room, we tried to order room service. The room service rang for half an hour without no one answering my call. Had to phone Reception and they were busy so they said they'll phone us back. When they did, the only phone that was ringing was in the bathroom and not beside the bed. When I tried to phone Reception again, they didn't know what a Stoned-baked pizza was, which was indicated in their menu. In the end, my husband had to go down to the bar to order room service! Although the Manager phoned to apologise, unfortunately the damage has been done. It's a nice hotel, and the rooms are pretty big. The bed is excellent and we had a good night's sleep. Was very disappointed with the staff and room service. Will not go back to this hotel again.
