The website was a bit misleading in terms of what is available in each room. The website advertised air conditioning. The assumption made is there will be a machine in the room that makes the air cold. In fact, this was inaccurate; the machine merely removed the humidity from the air, which did not cool it. We slept with the balcony door open, so we were happy we were on a higher floor.

Rooms spacious and of average quolity. Extremely polite and helpful staff. Breakfast o.k. Free transportation was offered by/to one particular restaurant some distance away. The restaurant was excellent, but it was the only option for dinner. There was no dining at the hotel or within walking distance.

We had difficulty arranging the shuttle from the airport. The reason we chose the hotel was to use the shttle service. We called at 10 minutes to 6 pm and instead of sending the shuttle at 6 pm, we were told to call back but did not understand that. we were not able to call back because of our confusion about the phone number and inability to use the pay phone in the airport; so, no shuttle was ever sent and we stood at the airport gate waiting for 50 minutes not understanding that a shuttle was NEVER coming. We finally had to pay for a ride to the hotel. There were NO restaurants or shops near by which was O.K. but we had no choice of restaurants since we were dependent on a ride from the hotel to a restaurant.

We arrived late and they arranged to pick up my husband at the airport after he returned the rental car even though it was after 21:00. Then arranged a free shuttle to and from nice restaurant for a late dinner. Large room and bathroom with blackout curtains. Free internet was a plus before flying home.

The staff was eager to please, and cheerfully accommodated our every request. The hotel property is very nice, with clean, fully equipped rooms. It is located in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood, in excellent proximity to the (Malpensa) airport. No services are within walking distance.

How to reach Hotel Ascot Malpensa

By car
From the motorway A8 Milano-Laghi, exit on Busto Arsizio and follow the direction to Malpensa (SS336). On the SS336 exit on Cardano al Campo-Ferno (2nd exit of Cardano al Campo - do not exit on Cardano Zona industriale), then follow Hotel Ascot sign.

By train
From Milano Centrale railway station, take bus Malpensa Shuttle which connect Milan to the airport (about 45 minutes). From the airport (we suggest you to stop at terminal 2)there is hotel free shuttle on telephone request (from 6:30am to 9:30am and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm)
