Hotel Resort Lacona - Lacona, Capoliveri

It was our first visit at Elba and we very much appreciated the Resort Lacona (and all accomodations - large swimming pool, tennis, garden, ...But the beach surrounding is not on the same level of quality (but you have not a long way to drive to find better)

Food was really excellent!

The location was fine, had a car with, easy to find. Lovely hotel for the price. Entertainment at the pool. Serveringen was a bit of a affodring

Good service, but it is quite an old hotel, so price VS quality ratio does not reflect the real quality.. besides the staff didn't speak good English, so it was difficult to find some information from them

Nice beach-type hotel. Nothing fancy but very good. Lacona beach is great and right across the street. Crowded in August but very tasteful and civil - I have come to really like Italians. I really liked the buffet dinners - lots of seafood. Perhaps a bit institutional - both food and atmosphere. We really anjoyed our stay at tghis location.

The hotel is in a nice location but the rooms have an old fashon moquette(fitted carpet) that is not really what you excpect in a front beach hotel. Room lights are a real disaster, there is not a small night lamp that allows you to read at night withouth disturbing your partner and the only available light is above you. Everithing elese is ok but at night you need to have a car if you want to make a walk in a typical town of Elba.

One of the reserved room was different from what we booked, we had to wait 30 minutes for the staff to setup a room corresponding to the booking. The "buffet breakfast" had a very limited choice - definitely not a 4-stars hotel level. It did not include any fruit or fruit salad or yogurt, hot beverages were only available from the machines, and there was no table service. It was not possible to pay with credit cards, and even to pay cash two different employees had problems operating the printers, so it took them 40 minutes to complete our check out.

It's to bad, we didn't stay enough longer....very nice hotel and nice situation, very good and various breakfast and diner, beautiful pool with animation and singer in the end of the afternoon and after dinner. animation for children. beautiful garden. easy acces to the beach.
