This hotel will be perfect if the hot water doesn't run out all the time in the middle of a shower. The owners were really nice and the place was really charming. We went back to the hotel after attending a wedding at 2:30 am and the owner nicely opened the gate for us. The breakfast was excellent. Very good value....Not having enough hot water for my shower was not enough to ruin my stay. That's how charming it was.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at! It was quite inexpensive for the amenities it offered. When we arrived, the man at the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. He immediately helped us get the internet set up, and even showed us to our rooms and asked if there was anything else we needed. The hotel is also located right above a wonderful gelateria! My family and I found that this hotel was nicer than almost all of the four star hotels we stayed at, and I don't know why this one isn't actually rated four or five stars - because of the amenities offered, and the friendliness and help of the staff. Not to mention its wonderful location. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Siracuse.

A little tough to find, the Hotel Casale was wonderful stop for a visit to Paestum & Agripoli. We were in a quad, but since the hotel was not crowded, we were moved to an apartment. This was perfect for getting over our jet lag...the breakfast was excellent.

Very convenient to famous Greek ruins. English barely spoken. Decent restaurant. Breakfast rather skimpy. Fine for a 1 night stay.

Very friendly owners/staff. Excellent continental breakfast...loved the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The hotel is very convenient to the Temples if you have a car. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good.

Hotel Casale 900 was a pleasant and enjoyable place to stay while visiting the Greek temples at Paestum. The hotel restaurant was excellent! The only drawback is that it is not within easy walking distance to the historical site (more than 3 km each way without sidewalks).

Excellent value for the money. Restaurant was very good and the owners friendly and helpful. Enjoyed bike ride (free bikes provided) to sea and to Greek ruins at Paestum about 1 km away. Very enjoyable stay.

On arrival we were offered choice of rooms in the main house; thereafter the service disappeared. Casale 900 did not appear geared up to expect guests in mid-June; and although there is a large sign outside the property the approach roads have hundreds of accommodation signs. Luckily we had a GPS which helped. Very little English spoken. The on-site 'Restaurant' was a ghost-town; room for 120 guests, silver service, an extensive wine list - but nobody was eating/drinking - and nobody could be found to order from... We left and ate a picnic overlooking Paestum as the sunset. Breakfast the following morning was similar - the poor waiter was yawning with boredom ... a pretentious arrangement. Casale 900 is very well located for Paestum to arrive early before the sites becomes over-crowded and hot. We are seasoned travellers and have stayed in some different types and styles of accommodation and locations - this stay was one of the more interesting experiences. We felt we were an inconvenience to the owners.

In general a very nice building with stylishly renovated rooms, good atmosphere, beautiful terrace and garden and friendly employees. Unfortunately the surrounding streets and houses are partly very ordinary and there are not so much opportunities to go out in the near neighbourhood

A nice hotel in a charming building from 1900. Too bad that there was no air conditioning in the room, the windows had to be kept open and with the road close by and dogs in the yard the night was not well slept.

A beutiful house in a lovely large garden with excellent views. Delightful dining area with highly competent waiter and outstanding chef. The owner is a refined, cultured young man who speaks beuatiful French and some English. One of the most charming and enjoyable places I have ever stayed at. Excellent beach is within 5 minutes walk fromthe hotel and the huge archeological site of Paestum is about 5 minutes away by car.

An old beautiful farmhouse transform in a very comfortable hotel, with visible ceiling beams , very clean, modern equipment, quiet, in a quiet surrounding, parking under big lmontrees, with a boss who makes all effort for his customers, answer to all questions, explain correctly the way to go to all interesting places, museums, ruins, beach, good restaurants,...A very good place for a correct price which allow to leave all great and impersonal big hotels !

Out of all the places we stayed in Italy, this was my favorite. Convenient location, spacious rooms, friendly staff. From on location we visited the beach, Paestum Temples and Pompeii. Could not ask for anything better.

The owner was absolutly charming. Always ready to help you, he was also eager to go beyond his own personnal and business interest. He took all the time necessary to explain us the history of his family, of his house, of his village and of the surrounding countryside. There's no better way to discover a new place and to begin to love its people.

Whereas the house itself is very nicely rennovated, the mini-apartments in the dépendance are not so inviting. Moreover, there was no warm water in these apartments (we had booked rooms, we were informed only at our arrival, that there were not enough available rooms in the main building)and the current had to be switched on by the guests themselves. The reaction of the manager (owner?)to our complaints concerning the cold water in the shower was not professional at all. Pity!

Pleasant, rustic hotel in a renovated farmhouse; a very good value. Innkeeper was friendly and attentive and drove into town to guide us when we couldn't find the hotel. In December the room was very chilly, and took a while to warm up once they turned the heat on. Bed was uncomfortable. Not located within walking distance to the ruins; car is advisable.

We had a hard time finding the place, but the manager came and got us. The room felt cold but did warm up some. Staff friendly and very willing to help, although perhaps new at the job. Nice breakfast in the big and brand new room across the driveway. The manager was willing to let us sit at his desk and use the internet with our own computer (although I think he would have let us use his as well) for hours, and we printed directions using his printer too. Two nice little Yorkshire terriers but if you don't like dogs that could be off-putting. Bed comfortable. Can't comment on other guests because we were the only ones in the hotel at the time.

Hotel Casale 900 is a very beautiful farm house, newly renovated and decorated. It is very near a lovely beach in Paestum. Its manager is a very pleasant man and very helpful. We only stay one night but wish we could have stay longer.

Hotel Casale offered a comfortable and friendly base from which to explore the Paestum area. It was in an excellent location - near the beach and also to the amazing Greek Temple site. The owner was very helpful and friendly, giving excellent advice when asked.
