Late review (stayed in Sep 10), but we've stayed here a couple of times due not so much to the attractiveness of the hotel, but more to do with trying to find reasonably priced hotels in Cannes, which is difficult. This time, we had a small room in the main building, though they have other rooms in a nearby building (we stayed there once, but didn't like it.) Room is clean and neat, updated bathroom. The cleaing staff works hard. Desk Staff is OK, except the old man is a bit of a grouch (maybe he just doesn't like speaking English??) He didn't like the fact that we "just showed up" even though we had a confirmed reservation (Venere) for several months - so recommend a confirming phone call about two weeks out to remind them of your reservation. Location is excellent - a straight shot about three short blocks from the Croissette (recommend staying away from the public beach unless you have small children.) Many restaurants in area, watch the prices...although the North African restaurant across the street is excellent. A couple small markets in area to get snacks, water...lots of restaurants, but watch the prices. Straight down the street a couple blocks is an annoying bar that insists on playing their music loud for their outside customers into the late hours even though it's summer and people have their windows open, not much you can do about this rudeness, especially if you have to have your windows open for cooling the room. No nearby parking - car parking is in a secure underground public garage a couple blocks away - pay the extra price and get this, as street parking is almost impossible. Breakfast isn't special, typical French croissant, jams, breads, coffee/tea, but breakfast area is tiny in lobby in front of desk with people coming and going through the front door in the morning - not romantic or relaxing. This isn't a luxury hotel, so don't expect much extra services, just a place to stay when going to the beach or to dinner.

Stayed in the apartments across from the hotel, had very large room with kitchenette at no extra cost. Many restaurants in area. No discount on beach loungers or restaurants. Indoor car parking very close by, was convenient. Staff friendly and helpful for directions, recommendations on things to do, etc. Breakfast area small, not private. About three city blocks from the private beach areas (several restaurants, loungers to choose from), further for public beach. Altogether, a reasonably priced hotel, clean and safe hotel with most services close to the Cannes beach.

The hotel was in a fabulous location between Rue d'Antibes and Le Croisette. You are in the middle of the best part of Cannes and 5 minutes walk from teh Train Station. Amazing restaurants and bars are right on the doorstep and the beach is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. I travel to Cannes every year and if travelling alone, Hotel Florian is where I will definitely stay again.

I use to spend one week a year in November in Cannes. This year I discovered the hotel Florian and for sure I will turn back there next years! This place is a must, especially for warm welcome of the owners.

This Hotel was not what I had expected, it was not quiet at all and much too small even for that price. It was far too loud you could hear everything your neighbour was doing. The bathroom had some traces of mould, not very inviting. I would not recommend this hotel but other people may have different expectations.

Fantastic location, very close to the beach. Great service and affordable price in expensive Cannes. They even gave us beach towels which we forgot to bring. Highly recommended.

That is the first and, of course, the last time at Hotel Le Florian: althogth we have the reserve from a long time and we reconfirmed our arrival some hours before we were there, we were send to another very bad hotel (Anna Livia) "because the Hotel Le Florian was full" (suddently?). We didn't receive any logical explanation to the unexpected situation; only a laconic "Je suis desolée, I'm sorry, but the hotel is full"!!!???

The location of the hotel was the best aspect of the stay. It was a bit difficult to find due to the many one-way streetsn and the room is a bit small. Otherwise, the room is clean and offered all needed amenities. The staff were very friendly. The big bonus is the price with respect to the location. I would definately recommend this hotel.

A sweet and wonderful little establishment, surprisingly (for its location)low-priced. The hotel owners and employees have been very welcoming and helpful. We would return there any time. One more tip: best croissants on the riviera! Thank you Le Florian.

This is the absolute best value in Cannes. The location is great with good access to beaches and shopping. The staff were so, so friendly, and the room of decent size and great quality for the price. Very clean - absolutely satisfied. Air conditioning unit in room a huge plus. Owner of the hotel asked me to please post my review on venere - a good sign that he is confident of the great quality of his establishment. I would stay here again and again. P.S. there is a good Irish pub a block North.

This hotel was in a fantastic location: down the block was Le Croissette and it was just a short walk to the train station and all sites. Our room was very basic, but completely adequate since we were out all day and only came back to sleep. Additionally, everything was very clean (and I'm a bit of a clean freak so if I feel it was comfortably clean most people will). The family and staff at Le Florian were the most gracious and hospitable I have ever encountered. They made us feel like guests of honour. The breakfast was simple (croissants, jam, coffee, juice) but of higher calibre compared to similar breakfasts we had at other hotels. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly to anyone as a superior budget accomodation.

Excellent location for those attending a conference in the main conference centre at Cannes (as I was). Rooms are simple but spotlessly clean and very quiet. Host family are very friendly (In my case, they were happy to humour me in my attempts to communicate only in French, despite their excellent English). Colleagues of mine paid 4-5 times the rate to stay in nearby "prestige" hotels ... but I reckon I got far the best all round deal at The Florian - Highly recommended.

One would almost want to keep that hotel a secret, because it is such good value. The location is very close to the beach, in the midst of shopping, not far from the railway station, and the room itself was just great. Regular Eurpean size, which means compact by North American sizes, but has everything one could want. And the bathroom has a shower curtain together with a good shower in the bathtub, and updated fixures. What more could you ask for. Next time we visit the cote d'azur, we would take a bus directly from the Nice airport to Cannes and spend our vacation there. Breakfast was friendly & served in the lobby, but just the basic continental style, which is OK just the same. Sure hope we can still get a reservation next time.
