Hotel Blue Riva - Cannes

Accueil merveilleux, sa situation idéale permet de se promener et visiter la région, aucune raison de ne pas y retourner lors de mon prochain passage à Cannes. Merci encore pour Votre accueil et votre sens du recevoir.

1st trip. Double room and one single room. 2 nights each. Property owner speaks english. Fantastic hostess. Offered and gave us a run down of the ins and outs of Cannes when we arrived. Every ready to offer suggestions and helped us with all our queries. Hotel exeterior and public places may look run down but rooms were definitely different - far beyond expectations and service was fantastic. Spacious and clean rooms. All equipment in working order. No frills hotel, good for young travellers. Situated in a decent part of town. Hotel is near boutiques, shops, supermarket, eateries, pharmacies and beach. Its one street away from train station - 5 to 10min walk, cab will cost you 10 Euros. (Street along train station is a little rowdy) We had the room facing inside, its quieter all though we had to use a portable heater. Only downside to this property is that the lift starts from the 1st floor only. So you'll need to carry your bags up a flight of stairs.

I really liked the hotel. Very well located - in the center of Cannes. Clean and accurate, there is lift in the hotel. Owner was very friendly and helpful. She gave me the map and explained everything, gave some great advices, and discount card for tickets to the islands. Very good service!!! The room was clean and nicely decorated . My stay in this hotel was very pleasant! Recommend this hotel to everyone !!!

Gentilezza, gradevoli, buona posizione , ma il parcheggio o la sosta può essere un problema - non inidcato per chi ha problemi di deambulazione.

The woman in the reception was good. she gave us good informations, always payed attentions to us; when one of us feel bad, she asked if he is allright...other good points: the restaurant on the first floor of this hotel and the gerateria in front of this hotel was really nice!

A very nice little pensione on a cute street with lots of shops and restaurants and near the train station. Has an elevator. The owner is friendly, helpful, and speaks good English. The room was clean, quiet, and worked well for the four of us.

The information on Venere indicated that the room had a mini-kitchen. At arrival we were told that the use of the kitchen was not included in the room price given at Venere; but we had not had any information about this during the resevation procedure.

The location of the hotel is goods as it's 5 minutes walking frm Croisette but the hotel is miserable: the entrance, reception are very poor and certainly my room nr 5 is really really miserable: the bathroom(if we can call it in this way) has scraped walls and all the bedroom gave dirty feeling...We didn't even ask for breakfast there as no breakfast room exisisting but 2 table sinfront of the reception where the cat of the hotel owner wals, sleeps, etc.....I love animals(I've a cat and a dog),but........Anyway my staying in Cote D'Azur was really very very nice and I'll travel there again, but not at the BLue Riva, of course.........I trust the photos ou show on the web site but our bedroom was light years far from those photos.....

I just got back from a six days stay at the hotel Blue Riva. The hotel is simpel but in a great location. Just a 5 minute walk from the railway station and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The rooms are ok but need some redecorating. The owners are now completely renovating the hotelrooms so that is great news. Its geat value for your money if you don't expect annything fancy. I loved the hotel cat Minette and I actually miss her!! I would defenedly return back to this hotel.

I stayed for one night and the room is acceptable. Not too noisy even though it is in a busy location. The hotel is very well located, close to the train station. Room facilities are OK but fine for a low-budget hotel. For short stays, this is not a bad hotel.

Ottima posizione dell'Hotel. Abbastanza pulito e buon servizio. Ottima sopresa è la piccola cucina che abbiamo trovato nella nostra stanza. consigliato per una tripla. per una doppia si trovano prezzi comunque inferiori a Cannes

Good position in the city

Owners were delightful and helpful. Location was great. Room was a bit tiny. Price was a bit high (Euro vs. $ was probably the casue). All in all, I would go there agian, in paticular becausee of the graciousness of the Hosts.
