Cascina Garden Hotel - Campobasso

Was way out of town.

Wonderful staff, very friendly and hospitable. Room was great!

An excellent hotel but the staff speaks only italian...

The hotel has a good flair, but it´s a little bit outside of the city. You have to go by bus to the city, but you could not buy the ticket for the bus in it. You have to know this, otherwise you have to reach the city by feeds!

We where cycle touring from Naples to Garda, this hotel provded very difficult to get to on a bike forced to cycle through a series of very dark road tunnels on approach from the south. Campobasso was disappointing as well we struggled to find a restaurant to eat in and ended up with take away pizza, not ideal after a long day in the saddle.

The location is not easy to find in particular by night

Good no frills hotel, simple rooms, all frills in the room aren't free (you have to pay for extras apart bath foam and soap). Good breakfast. It worths 50 euros I have paid, but no more.

Room was clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast consisted only of sweets. Coffee and cappuccino passable. Meals at restaurant are with local flavor and good. My only negative is with the room which had a concrete colunm right next to the bed that made the room crampted and not worth the price charged.

Nice clean hotel at affordable prices. Staff very friendly and helpful, though it won´t hurt if you know some words of italian. Situated in the countryside. Not much to do in the vicinity, except enjoying the clean air and the view. But with some form of transportation the town is only minutes away. Campobasso is conviniently situated in the middle of Italy, so many attractive sites are at a nice distance. Breakfast a bit on the sweet side, only cakes (though good ones). Surroundings very quiet, but noise from nearby rooms can easily be heard.

This is a hostel-type of hotel outside the city, close to a larger road. Positive is availability of parking and restaurant, however, the rooms are a bit out-dated, a bit hostel-type, and the surroundings consist mostly of parking area, huge hospital-block near-by and few chlldred tools in a tiny playground. The supposed garden seems to without trees. However, if you want an overnight stay from/to somewhere else, this is fine.

Stayed two nights. Major complaint, wished employees in contact with customers, understood a second language, ex. English. Not familiar with Italian, the menus could also be underwriten in English. Were told could not phone overseas!! And their internet was very slow, their browser not updated, could not send an email home!!

It was not clear if the breakfast was included, as mentioned in the web page, or not, as showed on the room door. Anyway I chose the half pension solution: just 13.50€ more (per person) for a good dinner with hand made pasta

We chose this hotel as it was close to a town from which family ancestors came. It was clean and the people were helpful. Our shortcoming was in not being able to speak Italian except for a few words, so communication was difficult. They did bring staff and other personnel to help us in the restaurant and with smiles, hand gestures, and a few words, we managed okay. They really made a good effort to help us. The food was VERY good! Breakfast was included and ample but their inexperience with Americans is noted by ther inability to deliver a full cup of coffee! Not an uncommon occurence in Italy we found out! :) The rooms are (ours was at least) down several steps to a lower level and require carrying baggage, so I wouldn't suggest it to anyone that can't handle their suitcases. The halls and rooms are mostly tile and are not quiet acoustically. Normal conversation and footsteps in the hallways are clearly heard in the rooms and our room was directly under the restaurant, also tile floors. One night, it seemed like they moved chairs and tables up there for a couple hours, stopping about 11 pm. We weren't trying to sleep at that time, but if we had been, it would have been difficult. The person in the adjacent room like to play the guitar until 11 pm and start again at 7 am too. Nice music and quite quietly played, but the walls are thin. It was cold there in the evenings and to run the heat, you must insert the room key into a switch in the room. Of course, no heat in the room when you leave and take the key. It did warm quickly upon return. Also, the bath shower stall was extremely small, hand held shower head flopped around on it's holder, no place to put the soap, and if you're wider than about 14 inchs, you're going to have trouble getting into the 2 ft by 2 ft shower stall as you enter from the corner after sliding each side door back half-way, leaving about 14 inches to squeeze thru. Lighting in the bath is a single ~15 watt flourescent lap over

Excellent customer service, hotel manager picked me up from Campobasso train station,as agreed on the email, only 5 minutes travel from station ,room spacious,and quiet, would suit all ages.

About 5 minutes from the centre of Campobasso by car. Well signposted when approaching from the south west. Staff were excellent. This is a good value for money hotel and we will certainly use it again.
