Had a lovely stay in Hotel Aviotel in Elba. The photos on the web did not do it justice though.It was far nicer than expected. Our one bedroomed hotel apartment was spotless and very spacious.Our room was on the pool side and we had only a few steps to take to have a swim. There is a small airport in the next field but the traffic going in and out was very few and far between. Our stay there was too short and if we return to Elba we would most certainly stay there again.Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We had no idea what to expect in Elba, but we loved the island and want to return. Aviotel is merely "OK", although for the price it is probably a good deal. If we return we would stay near one of the beaches. The pool is great -- very large and clean. The hotel literaly boarders a small airport, but as odd as it seemed, it did not intrude. The rooms are small and very utilitarian. Nothing special but nothing to complain about either. It seemed very much like a Italian family "get away" location. A car on the island is almost mandatory, particularly with a family. There were no shops or other atractions near AVIOTEL, unless you drove 2 km to Marina de Campo. No internet access.

Guests can choose from one-bedroom apartments for up to 3 guests, two-bedroom apartments for 2-6 persons, and three-bedroom apartments for up to 7. Rooms offer single or double occupancy.Apartments are fully furnished and include a kitchen with fridge, cookware and dinnerware, a bathroom with shower or tub, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, heating, private garden with two deck chairs and an umbrella. Several apartments furthermore offer a safe, hairdryer and microwave oven.
In-room amenities include a bathroom, mini bar, TV, air conditioning, safe, heating. The on-bedroom apartments has a double sofabed and single sofabed in the living room. The two-bedroom apartment has a bedroom with one double bed or two single beds, a double sofa-bed in the living room (if for 4 guests), and in some cases an additional single sofa-bed (if hosting 5 guests).
Apartments are supplied with fresh linens weekly (additional changes are available on request), and video recorder/DVD hire is available to take advantage of the property's extensive video/DVD library. Newspapers and groceries can be delivered on request. Transfers can be arranged to/from the beach or harbour on request. Tourist flights over the island or archipelago can be arranged.

Disembarked at Portoferraio follow the indication for all the directions or, in alternative airport. Follow these indications until exiting from the country. Once escapes to follow the indications for Marina di Campo, or airport, until catching up and exceeding Procchio. 3 Km after having left Procchio, in the direction of Marina di Campo, on the left of the provincial street you can see the lighting up writing, much large once and of blu color of Aviotel.
