The hotel is great if you have a car. The hotel and the surrounding area are beautiful. The staff was nice and provided a crib. However, I would recommend spending the extra money for the sea view balcony and having a picnic dinner on the balcony to see the beautiful sunset views. The restaurant is overpriced and the food is OK, but not worth 150 euros. Invest in the balcony and several good bottles of wine instead.

We had a room on the 1st floor and during the night we heard a loud noise comiing from the bathroom. My husband went to check an saw a thieve running away. The thieve managed to bend the metal bars protecting the window and a few minutes more he would have been able to break in! Not a very nice experience and the hotel management did not try to compensate us for that disturbing event. We will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone as it is not safe and the service is poor.

A very very nice place with a breathless view and probably in one of the most beautiful place in Italy. We enjoyed really a lot.

Excellent Hotel, but the pictures on the web site really don't do it justice. Also the free use of the hotel shuttle should be publicised, as the cost for taxis is ludicrous in and around the area. I look forward to going back.

Both the air conditioning and the water pressure from the shower were very poor, even after asking the hotel staff to fix these problems. The hotel itself was very nice, though the location was not explicity stated on the website.

the web page should be changed immediately. per the staff, many people have had the same experience we did. the experience i was "buying" was the one depicted in Cenogi photos; there is no designation on the photos as to which property they are from. I felt deceived.

This is the second trip that my wife and I have taken to the Portofino Kulm. We brought our parents as a Birthday surprise for our two Mums and they fell in love with the place too. The setting is truly one of the most beautiful we have experienced, including our trips to Mauritius and the Maldives. Only tiny niggle is that the restaurant doesnt have a very big menu so if you are staying more than 2 nights you will probably be wishing for more options. Parking in Portofino or Santa Margherita is limited so either travel down there early or take the shuttle bus. We'll be back next year...

I have to say that the employees have been really nice as well at the reception than at the restaurant. The view from the rooms is unforgettable. What a nice place to stay for those who like walk in a wonderful area. The paths start from the park of the hotel.

We visited in February, and I think we were the only guests in the hotel, so this is probably not a totally representative view! The rooms were lovely (although not what I'd call 'value' for money); the view was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, Portofino Kulm is 12km outside Portofino and this is not indicated anywhere on the website; if we had not happened upon it whilst driving along the coastal road, it would have been very difficult to find. Additionally, the food was poor - and expensive for what you got. On the whole, I would not recommend staying here out of season, but would consider visiting in the height of summer.

Very nice hotel, situated on the top of the Portofino promontory (12 km from Portofino village), in a very beautiful park. You can see both of the two gulfs from the hotel. Very quiet (but we were there in february). All surroundings are beautiful.

Walking to Portofino from the hotel was fantastic! It takes only 1,5 hours, and you don't need to worry about parking. Please forget about the car! It is a pity that the indoor swimming pool was under repaire. Restaurant was excellent with friendly service. We really had a nice stay in this hotel and are looking forward to coming back again.

Description did not indicate the true remoteness of the hotel. We thought we were quite neat to Portafino but needed to get the shuttle bus, a train and a boat as one way of travelling there. A car is needed if visitors want to get about.
