The people who worked there are exelent service people. They do everything they can so you can have a good vacation. But the bathrooms are terrible. The shower curtains are moldy and you allmost have to stand in the toilette to take a shower.

Hotel Giusy is in real life even better than described on the website and shown by the photographs. The owners are extremely nice and do everything they can to make your stay (even more) pleasant. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and the beach (at a few minutes walking distance from the hotel) is lovely. And a lot more relaxed and quiet than the busy Viareggio beaches. If we decide to visit this part of the coast again, we will definitly be staying at Giusy!

The main complaint is about sound-proof of rooms. One can hear what people are watching on TV in the next room or child speaking, not to talk bout the elevator sounds and steps on the stairs. We were very tired so slept at once, but if you want to have an evening for yourself, don't plan it in your room! Also we had babies who cried at nights and woke up at 7 in the morning, so I am sorry for other quests who could not sleep properly. All the interiors are very much out-dated. Very clean and not worn out, but out-dated. And breakfast somehow looked not fresh. But the owner tried to be hospitable, recommended us a restaurant, fulfilles our requirements. Overall - I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

Hotel Giusy is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Francesco and his mother are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a real pleasure to wake up every morning and enjoy the exuberant and delicious breakfast ( especially the self-made fruit salad ). At first my girl-friend and I just wanted to stay for nine days, but then we stayed twelve, because the hotel was so nice and there are so many things to see around ( like the cities Lucca, Pisa and Florence which can be reached easily from Lido di Camaiore ). Hotel Giusy caters to young people, but also to parents with children and older people. I would definitively stay there again.

Had difficulty finding the hotel as it does not face onto the street named as the postal address. Proprietor very friendly and helpful; gave a good recommendation for a restaurant and gave good directions when leaving. If in the area we would stay there again. (Cannot remember what the web pages showed, so have put all the answers as #5)

We eventually found the Giusy using SatNav - it's a block away from the sea front and at the end of a quiet street - the fact that the street numbering doesn't match the address given by venere didn't help. Still, the beach was a reasonably short walk away, which probably accounts for the bargain prices. The elderly proprietress was friendly and welcoming and the rooms, though not huge, were simple, clean, bright and adequate, with a clean and modern bathroom en suite. We were two families, numbering 11 between us and the exuberance of the children was clearly a little much for the signora who told the kids rather sternly to keep quiet, which dampened their enthusiasm somewhat and made us all inclined to tiptoe around a little! We only stayed one night, but the signora was helpful, (although we felt a little as if we were being 'supervised' the whole time), the breakfast plentiful and enjoyable. On departing we were informed that the VISA machine was broken and we had to pay cash - I'm not sure if it was or not and it would have been good to have been told on arrival as we were budgeting cash vs. credit carefully. She also tried to overcharge me 10 euros so I had to produce the printout of the booking to convince her she had got it wrong. We had the impression she was trying to pull a fast one...! Overall a good hotel for the price. I would stay again, but keep your eye out for the signora - she may be advancing in years, but there are no flies on her!

Rooms were basic and not clean upon arrival. We had to clean the toilet especially. Shower blocked. Breakfast was awful. The same tinned pineapple, which was fermenting, was presented day after day. Bread was stale. Elderly residents medications were collectively sitting on a table. Staff were friendly and helpful. Externally the Hotel looks wonderful. Surrounding area has virtually no shops of any sort. Even buying water was near impossible. Fawlty Towers by the Med is a reasonable way of describing the expereince.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Giusy. The proprietors and staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and attended to every need of my party. They made us feel really at home as they showed an interest in their guests, assisting us in our travel arrangements as we planned to attend the opera at Torre del Lago. I would be glad to recommend the Hotel Giusy to anyone and would love to return. The Hotel is in a lovely location. A big thank you to Francesco, his mum and to Nico for their kindness to us. Ciao, ciao to Francesco, mum and to Nico, Mairi

Bathroom substandard. Old fashioned. Bedrooms not shown on website. Too far away from beach and restaurants. Not 3 star in comparison to all the other 3 star hotels we have stayed in.

The furnishings are a bit old-fashioned but we really got a warm welcome and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere throughout our stay! The breakfast was enormous (every day there was a fresh home-baked cake). Very quiet surroundings and only about 500m from the beach.
