Hotel Marítim - Calella

It is a good place to visit costa Brava/Maresme and Barcellona, efficent transport with train or ferry Same hotel rooms are small for 2 person

This was the first time at the Maritim, but I would gladly go back. The rooms were spacious and it was right on the see front. Rooms were cleaned daily. Only downfall was the food, only there a week but even then it was monotonous.However would definielty go there again, the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble.The sun trap on the roof was a delight.

It's a lovely place, a big hotel, extremely clean, on the beach, quite in centre of Calella. Extremely clean room and bathroom. They waited for us, as we mentioned thaht we will arrive at 3 am. 15 min on foot from the train station that takes you to Barcelona. I would come back for sure!

OK hotel but a bit crowdy and noisy.

We stayed in hotel "Maritim" 3 nights with a baby (5 months), and we can say only the best words about hotel. The baby cot was already in the room, view from the window was excellent - beach, sun and sea. We had no problems to get in and out of hotel with baby - we and baby enjoyed panoramic lift. And the price is OK - we paid for 3 nights the same what we should pay in Barcelona for one night (not in best hotel), but it's easy to get to Barcelona by train. Calella is very nice town where to spend holidays so we think to return some day.

Amazing value - very clean and fresh everywhere - an excellent breakfast included - very nice sea view [10 euros per day extra] - 5 star solarium on the roof [ no children allowed] with imitation grass and two jacuzzis - Dallas style outside glass elevator - nice lounging area and spotless snack and drinks bar by the down stairs pool -the only downside is the noise from the streets at night - and a couple of strange rules - eg a 10 euro deposit on the TV remote but overall its terrific and great value - we stayed one week then decided to come back and stay again the next. The hotel is near several good bars and we would recommend the Tic Tac about 150 metres from the hotel serving authentic and delicious Catalan food

The only negative comment is that I was accounted the reservation fee before when I expected (26 June instead of 29 Jun), when, according with the site's policies, I could already cancel the reservation.

This hotel was right off the beach in a great location and close to everything (the train station was about a 15-20 min walk thru an seemingly safe area). We had a nice big balcony that faced the sea with a great view, which we had to pay slightly more for, but was worth it. Note that the sliding glass door was not sound proof though, since we could hear people late at night (leaving the bars around the hotel around 2am) talking outside (and we where on the 5th floor). The included breakfast was really good and had protein and carb foods. Overall, it was a great place at a great price (one of the cheapest places we stayed). We booked 8 hotels thru venere.com and all of them turned out as were advertised.

Overall, our trip to Spain was more costly than expected, so we cannot fault the Maritim in its pricing. The room was fine, we had a view of the ocean, breakfast was always good, and we were located in a great area. We did not make use of the facilities as we were only there two days and spent most of our time on the beach or in the town. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was too quiet! Both nights there were groups below partying until 2 or 3 a.m. and the loud singing and laughter kept me awake! Next time I will bring ear plugs.

We enjoyed our stay. Noice was from parties - we think from the beach - during night. Nice hotel and staff, and the food was excellent compared to price.

Value/price ratio was excellent. As a matter of fact, I received much more than I paid for. Breakfast is not the main advantage, but a good hearty one. Rooms perfect, personnel 'muy amable'. !Muchas gracias por todo!

We stayed at Hotel Maritim from Sept 21-27/05. We were thrilled with our room and view for the great price. We especially appreciated the excellent service of Theresa and Angell who were so helpful and friendly. Our maid was Rosario who was fantastic. We would highly recommend this great hotel with a perfect setting.

Very good quality vs. price and localisation in the city, just in front of the sea front.

Good hotel with good prices. All in all a good value.
