For a family room for a brief visit it was good. Location across from the beach is excellent. Staff allowed us to store our bicycles in their basement. Good room for the price as there was a kitchenette with small table and chairs for eating, providing the choice to eat meals in the room. Unfortunately, there are no pots, plates, glasses or cutlery of any kind, which is a bit strange when a kitchen is included. It is indicated in the hotel info that there are some items available for hire at 7 euros a night but this was not clear on the website. Staff were very happy for us to help ourselves to all crockery and cutlery in the dining room for use in the room free of charge. Is a problem if you arrived expecting to prepare a meal in your room. Otherwise, not a bad hotel and I would stay there again.

Directions were confusing. Before you reach the Hotel your way is blocked by a no entry sign. By taking a right and first left at this point the road ends in the car park at the rear of the hotel.

Very good - useful to have been able to arrive late and have the keys available. Breakfast good and the general welcome and staff support was first class

This could be an excellent hotel in a stunning location, however the rooms desperately need refurbishment. If they are going to charge €57 per night then the this has to be done. The directions are very poor and we only found it by sheer luck also the main door of the hotel is down a one way street that you cannot access by car!!! I do not think we will be coming again as I don't think it's good value for money given the shabbiness of the accommodation and the difficulty to get to the hotel. you supply a small kitchen area but then don't supply the accoutrements to use it. It's a shame because it really could be so much more. One last thing that annoyed us- the tv remote control didn't work.

If you want a value for money, no frills, overnight accomodation with a restaurant within yards, the beach across the road, plenty of parking, this would meet your needs. We've stayed several times when we have come across the channel for shopping. It's basic but good.

The hotel were very helpful when we could not arrive due to the French Fishermen blockade of the ports and held over our booking until we could arrive - 24 hours later. Although there were cooking facilites in the room it would have been helpful to have basic crockery provided without being charged extra. It was cheaper to visit a local hypermarket and buy what you needed. We had dog fur over the bed throw which we had to took off the bed.

The directions to the property needs to be reviewed. It took us over an hour of driving to find it even though if the directions were clearer we would have arrived in 15mins.

Just what we needed for our overnight stay before catching a morning Eurotunnel back to the UK. Room was fine, it was nice to be able to brew our own cuppa. The one member of staff we met was friendly and welcoming. And it was a very good price!

It was a pleasant stay. The hotel is in front of the sea, only a minor road with little traffic dividing it. Lots of activities for children of all ages near the hotel, the mini golf is next to it (good if you like it). Calais city center is 10 to 15 minutes walking. If you often travel from UK to Europe by car spend at least a day here. Beside filling up with wine you can visit the Coupole near St. Homer which is 1/2 hour drive. It is a compelling visit for people interested in WWII history.

Really enjoyed my stay, 2 friends and myself stopped in Calais for a night on our way to Germany and were quite surprised (in a positive way!) by the hotel and the beach. We ony arrived late at night and found only one bar (right next to our hotel) that was still open, but that was absolutely fine considering the purpose we chose the hotel for.

We arived later than expected due to ferry delay. No staff at reception, but envelope left on reception desk for us with key for room. Had to leave early next morning-approx 7AM- no staff on reception so key left on desk.No problems encountered.

This was a fine budget hotel room for a one night stay on the journey to our holiday in Germany. However, the Eurotunnel train was delayed and then the instructions for how to find the hotel were hopeless and we wasted good time driving around Calais getting stressed. The hotel address as given on the internet has no street number so Sat Nav did not work too well and no one answered the hotel phone to be able to help us find them - indeed there were no staff on at 9 pm when we arrived - our room key was left out for us in an envelope - eventually we asked at another hotel and they were great with directions, but they had done it often before and it was almost tempting to stay there. Fantastic location on the front once it had been found and the hotel/bistro next door does good drinks and food.

This hotel provides good value for money. It is not The Ritz by any means, but neither are the prices Ritz prices!! The welcome was very friendly, the quality and cleanliness of the room was good. Breakfast next morning of a reasonable value for money standard There is an excellent restaurant next door with good value for money food. When approaching the hotel coming from Boulogne, travelling along Digue Gaston Berthe, you will find that Digue Gaston Berthe becomes a one way road just before the hotel which prevents you tavelling parallel with the sea. On arrival at the "No Entry" signs and a newly constructed roundabout to this section of road turn right at the roundabout, take the very first left along a narrow road to the rear of some houses and this leads you directly onto to the hotel's car park. We would definitely use this hotl again.

We booked three rooms for a weekend stay to visit a war cemetery in the Calas area. For a short stay this hotel is OK but not for more than a day or two. We booked x3 rooms and got a double with separate bunk beds, a double with a separate single and another double. These would be good if you have children and need a room for the night in Calais if you have an early tunnel/ferry back to UK. I was surprised to find that you have to ask for equipment for the kitchenette at the front desk which meant we could not make a hot drink because we arrived after the desk had closed. There is no facility in the hotel apart from the breakfast room. The hotel next door has a brasserie at the front that serves drinks and good value meals if you want to stay nearby for dinner. A walk into Calais takes about 15 minutes by the beach. The lady on the front desk was very helpful and made sure she spoke to me because she had noticed she had charged me too much - about 14 Euro, which she refunded.

We arrived from the Channel ferry and were leaving early next morning for the train station, the hotel was not convenient for either. The receptionist was unable to assist with making train reservations. No one was in attendance when we checked out and two strangers arriving by taxi came into the hotel as we left and took our room key and went into our room. We would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to friends.

The arrangement of the family room was extremely convenient and offered more than advertised in that there was also a cooking and eating area -- a mini flat no less!! Only thing to pick holes in was that the sheets were a bit bobbly. Would go again without a doubt.
