Reception staff with attitude problem - being English was clearly a disadvantage. As a couple in our 60's we were given a room on the top floor (with no lift) - I refuse to believe that there were no lower floor rooms available!!

We booked a single and a double room. They were small but cozy. The double room was larger. The staff were extremely helpful. We recommend the abundant continental breakfast for 7 Euros but there is no need for the garage as there is abundant on-street parking in front of the hotel and around the corner. This hotel delivers tremendous value to the frugal traveller.

Most of the hotel was ok but there was a nasty smell in the toilet and shower room. Do not think due to dirtiness but a strange smell. Told staff but did not make any difference.

The hotel is very well placed with many restaurants nearby. The garage (at extra cost) is very useful.

Poor quality of breakfast - not enough quantity of bread/croissants. Too expensive breakfast considering the poorness of it. Cleanliness of rooms was perfect.

This was our first visit and we would stay again if in Calais. Staff were very helpful and kind. Room was clean and a good size with a balcony. A good hotel in Calais!

On arrival at 1430hrs reception was closed with a sign stating it opened between 0800 to 1230 and again at 1600. On this day vehicular access was restricted to the hotel as there was a town fair taking place. The staff had to be summoned by a mobile phone call to the number advertised at reception to assist our gaining access with the car to the hotel. The following morning the dining room was not open at the given time of 0730 for breakfast and a sleepy member of staff had to be woken by ringing the bell at 0815hrs to open up and provide breakfast facilities. If there are limited opening hours for reception they must be advertised with the hotel information so guests can time their arrival/departure.

We were just stopping over en route to the ferry next morning. It was ideally placed between the station and the ferry port (we walked). Incredibly good value and very family-friendly. Not much space in the room if we'd been wanting to spend several wet days in Calais. The free iron on the landing meant we could even get back to Britain looking fairly smart!

This is a great place to stay after the Dover/Callais ferry crossing. It's convenient, centrally located, clean, quiet, welcoming and a good deal.

The receptionist was very rude and the reception area was not open when we arrived despite it being our allocated time for checking in. The room was tiny. The receptionist continued to be very rude and unhelpful and made breakfast a total nightmare by making us wait ages to be allowed to sit down whilst holding our breakfast trays until she allotted us a particular table despite there being other tables free. We got virtually no sleep as there was loud street noise until the early hours.

OK for an overnight stay on the way to the early ferry, which was 3 minutes away by car. The hotel was reasonable with typical continental breakfast. No restaurant. Locality not great, but it has secure garage. If you have to stay in Calais, it'll do.

Check in is from 15:00 NOT 11:00 as stated in your advert. However, staff were wonderful and could not have been more helpful if they tried

Excellent location, short walk to a range of restaurants in the centre of town, street parking outside. On three floors (no lift). Room basically furnished but very adequate for a short stay, although we found the bed rather hard. 10 minutes drive from Cite Europe / Eurotunnel.

The accommodations were lovely, with a spacious room and wonderful view. The en-suite bathroom was perfect, as was breakfast. I would come back to Calais just to stay here again.

My wife and I have renamed the Hotel Pacific as the Hotel Splendide - in a lovely part of Calais, close to bars and restaurants but at the same time unbelieveably quiet at night. Clean and friendly and all in all perfect for an overnight stay.
