Great location for the resturant we wanted to visit and the ferry necxt morning. Great value for money. Decor is a little tired, but for the price it was what we expected. Very comfortable bed. Only real complaint was the bathroom which was quite dire.

We only used this hotel for an over night stop before our ferry crossing. Although we got it cheap. It was not cheap enough. The room was awful, small, the bed sloped into the middle, it smelt, it had a chemical toilet which took forever to flush. I sat on a chair which collapsed, I then lent on radiator that came away from the wall, our room over looked huge airconditioning units. So we could not have windows open. Staff were rude, it was un accessible. You can get alot better for your money than this.

Bathrooms have obviously been added to the hotel since it was built. In our room (allegedly suitable for three), the bathroom was so tiny that it needed a sliding door rather than an opening door. The main problem with this was that the door provides no barrier to sound, for example the very noisy macerator on the toilet. The toilet lacks a twin flush setting, so even liquids are flushed to the macerator. The shower curtain wasn't wide enough for the very small shower, so there's a danger that water will touch the electric point for the macerator. The bathroom light didn't work. The shower head was very heavily caked with calcium deposit and hadn't been cleaned properly for some time. Breakfast was fine, but very poor value for 9 euros.

Very good location and close not only to ferry, but also to shops and restaurants. Hotel facitities are very good for a short stay. Room was clean, comfortable, warm and quite sufficient in size. Drawback was the 4pm check-in that some may find a bit late.

We stayed in room 4 (Cuba), this i think was the smallest room! It looked and smelt very tired and needed a bit of a makeover. The bathroom was very small and the toilet was noisy and not very efficient! Bedding was clean and room was adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good with fresh bread and croissants, sliced meat and cheese, cereal and fruit. Had a great pizza in a bar (Au Bureau) up the road from the hotel.

The hotel is very conveniently situated for access from both car ferry and channel tunnel. A huge free parking space is located directly opposite the hotel and seems safe enough (very open and next to a busy road junction), so that it was not really necessary to rent one of the garage spaces available (for a charge). The garage area is some distance ( a couple of hundred metres/about 5 mins walk) from the hotel entrance. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Buffet-style Continental breakfast was ample, and taken in a pleasant dedicated breakfast room. Our room was large enough (3 beds) and had a nice view over the harbour. Although it overlooked a busy area and traffic was audible even through the double-glazed windows, it did not really disturb us; (might be different in high summer if windows need to be left open for ventilation!). The main shortcoming of the room from our point of view was lack of clothes storage space, as there was no wardrobe and only a few hangers on a rail underneath the TV shelf. The room we had would probably not be suitable for a longer stay, but room sizes do vary considerably, so other rooms may have more available clothes space. The shower/toilet compartment was very small (perhaps 1.2m square), and water from the shower would readily have spilled over the floor. The room was not really suitable for anyone with limited mobility. (The hotel also has no lift, so carrying heavy luggage up 3 or 4 flights of stairs to the top level could be a challenge for the less able). Free wifi access was available and quite fast, and was useful to book train tickets, check weather and find information about local points of interest. There is a good variety of restaurants (besides the in-house restaurant) and other food outlets within minutes of the hotel. The local free town shuttle bus connecting the harbour area to the main shopping part of Calais during day & early evening, stops in front of the hotel about every 10 mins.

An overall pleasant one night stay at this hotel. Rooms were adequate for a one night stop, our room was comfortable & clean (I’ve stayed in a lot worse in Calais) Bathroom; a little small but it was clean and did the job! Our double room over looked the marina, nice view. Across from there was small circus looking tents, they got noisy with the same irritating boom, boom music that went on for hours, not good when you want a few hour sleep. Breakfast; is continental and lots of it. We would go back to this hotel. Thanks for the welcome.

Very good for a two star hotel, excellent restaurant gourmet standard (possibly not best for a cheap meal but lots of alternatives within five minutes walking), perfectly situated for the ferries, opposite lots of parking at the end of the built-up area ovrlooking the harbour. Breakfast fine. I will stay again.

We stayed here for one night in order to catch the Calais-Dover ferry the following morning. Hotel was found on Google Maps and drive there was simple. Check in was fine although my AMEX card was not accepted. Room was simple with 2 queen beds and a bathroom. Not the Taj Mahal but we've stayed in much worse. We were going to walk (with all our suitcases) to the ferry terminal but a local stranger offered a ride which was a stroke of luck. Nice location being close to many restaurants and shops.

Friendly and welcoming receptionist, met our request for a balcony room on arrival. Rooms are on small side, but comfortable and clean. View across harbour is good, and location is very good for street parking.Buffet breakfast is very good and plentiful.

The hotel is clean and functional, and in a great location right in the middle of Calais. The associated gastronomic restaurant is also excellent and on the night we went we had one of the best (and cheapest!) meals during our weekend. I'd happily stay there again, or if not staying eat in the restaurant.

Great location, couldn't beat it. Bathroom was very, very small, cracked sink, nowhere to put toileteries except on the floor. Wonderfully comfortable bed, we both had a good night's sleep. However, the room was supposed to be non smoking but despite leaving the window wide open all afteroon, it still reeked of cigarettes, even the next day. It was embedded in the sheets, pillows etc., although our friends were in the room next door and that was fine. We should have asked to move but we thought that leaving the windows open would have shifted it. We did tell the lady when we checked out though. Overall though, it was good value for money.

This was first visit to this hotel. The rooms are basic and very clean but the carpets was a bit off putting. I do recommend this hotel because of its location and value for money. No lift.

A one night stay before taking the ferry back home. OK but bathroom damp and black in places, strange toilet made a huge noise which was repeated when neighbouring rooms flushed theirs. Noise from road and watering plants outside very early. Comfortable bed.

Location and the view from the room were great. Breakfast very rich. People are friendly. Decoration is very original without being expensive. Only but: toilets are small and start smelling after one night. We stayed 1 night, so it was OK.
