Hotel Voramar - Cala Millor

We arrived at 1.00AM and were warmly welcomed with the offer of refreshments. The room was larger than any we had experienced elsewhere in europe and UK. Excellent service and facilities provided by friendly staff. The hotel is usually the preserve of tourists from Germany, hence the pickled herrings on the breakfast buffet, however, we 2 Aussies were made to feel very welcome. Just 10 metres away from an excellent beach and strolling distance to heaps of cheap eating places with great food.

I found the following disappointing: - although I have booked for (Half Board), I still had to pay for my soft drinks during dinner. - I have to pay 2 euro a day if I needed to use the fridge in the bedroom. - I am charged to use the safe in the bedroom. The above should be taken into consideration by the hotel, as much cheaper hotels of less star rating still offer drinks free of charge for full and half board bookings. Also the majority of the food in the evening is made of HAM and PORK. which we don't eat - i did struggle a bit because of that. The hotel is so close to the beach it was fantastic. whenever we needed the toilets or to wash it was simple and easy. I dont think family with kids would enjoy this hotel is as it doesnt have a swimming pool and the evening activities are more catered towards the eldery rather than the young :) over all is was a pleasent expereince.

We are very satisfied with our stay at Voramar, and superb service from Tony and the staff. We hope to come back to the hotel in the future, best regards Bjørn Smidessang
