In general a very good stay, but our experience was severely tainted on the last day by our driver (who we wanted to take us to the khan-el-kalili markets on the way to the airport). We explained this at the hotel and agreed a total price (I made sure this WAS the TOTAL price). He instead took us first to the 'government markets' where he kept telling us there were better prices. We clearly told him we wanted to go to Khan-El-Kalili and when he finally (and somewhat reludtantly) did, we of course found MUCH better prices and the experience that we had asked for all along. To top it off when we got to the airport he then told us we had to pay extra airport/parking fees, when we VERY CLEARLY made him agree a TOTAL price at the hotel. Disappointing as your other staff were excellent; very friendly and welcoming. Please factor this in to my rating for 'Quality of Service Provided' as it was really only the driver that was a great disappointment. Regards, Glen Hewitt

Very average service. Very good location. Not so good for business trip (Internet very expensive) Weddings during my stay: many big families with a lot of children! Be careful with level of taxes: add almost 25% to the initial price.

The bathroom inside the room was terrible: it was old and corroded by rust. There was a strong stink from the WC. Air conditioning at our floor didn't work and it was too hot for breathing. The beds are always separated and not comfortable. The conciergie was not very professional with our reservation because they didn't know anything about it. The breakfast was not so bad, but in general not satisfactory as regards the high expensive price. The best thing is the Italian Restaurant inside the Hotel because we ate very well. Another good thing is that the Hotel is not far from the main tourist places in Cairo.

The hotel rooms do not correspond to a 5 star hotel at all. Bad smell in the corridors, rooms furniture is old, nothing available in the mini bar.I had a very early arrival and the venere reservation was cancelled. Hotel drivers always say they have no change so be sure to have smaller bank notes.
