Hotel Appart'e - Cagnes-sur-Mer, Nice

The hotel is well positioned, but our room had a shower perimeter which leaked from one corner, flooding the bathroom on our first evening. The next day after we went out we came back and the bathroom was cleaned up with a rag left there to plug the leak! We used the rag and it worked ok, but we were disappointed as the hotel was sure to know about this problem and did nothing to rectify it. They did not ask us how our room was on check out (I think they already knew). The dampness due to the leak and the consequent odour of damp made the room less than appealing.

We stayed at the serviced apt bldg for 8 nites. The apt bldg is right behind the Aeva hotel which is on the sea front. Oue suite had a beautiful view of the sea, it was very spacious, nicley furnished, flat tv, small but convenient kitchenette, modern trendy bathroom. Breakfast not included, we tried the hotel's restaurant once for breakfast (ur usual continental bfast @ 8 euro/ person), and once for dinner (entrees were average, but main courses were delicious - nouvelle cuisine). Premises are managed by the owners, which is a plus, very friendly, helpful, and professional. If you have no car, you can walk along the promenade, bikes available at hotel, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby 5 min walking (I would recommend "Sunset" for pizzas, chevre salad - good prices). The beach is clean but not sandy. Cagnes sur mer is nicely located midway between cannes and nice. If you want sandy beaches, you can go to Juan les pins. You should also visit the Haut-de-Cagnes, and the beautiful village of St Paul de Vence, a 15 min drive from the hotel.
