Hotel Mediterraneo - Cagliari

This property is very disappointing and don't match the description. It's not a 4 starry. This ^property is very old and not many upkeep. Very disappointing

Be aware: The hotel is displayed as a nice building facing the sea, but we were put in rooms facing the back side of the hotel, a very noisy road with heavy traffic, even at night. Worst, the staff didn't bother and responded with bad manners. Next day, we confirmed that they had sea facing rooms available!! Totally unacceptable.

The Hotel has/had issues with noise from its operating lifts. Imagine the side sliding door of a big old van that scrapes as it closes along the runners and then bangs shut twice shortly followed by the second lift which tracks the first. Bad enough but, as it would appear that the hotel is used extensively by flight crews up at 4am for 5am shifts, it was intolerable and required a room move after an entire night of torture. The same day as the hot/warm water ran out in the middle of showering/hair conditioning. The hotel had no evening atmosphere again probably the flight crews would be on shift until late, bed up at 4am use all the hot water and the lifts and go. The hotel is not for holiday makers

Good view from the balcony and a peaceful hotel. Excellent breakfast and professional staff. Hotel a bit faded grandeur but pleasant - good cocktails at the bar!
