Hotel Italia - Cagliari

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Italia. It was situated in the heart of great sight seeing, wonderful shopping and fantastic restaurants and cafes. We would certainly recommend this hotel to any of our friends and would love to stay there again in the not too distant future.

Italian style hotel, with tiled floors in all rooms. This make the hotel a little noisy. Not much light in rooms, but they are spacious. Free internet connectivity.

Perfect location for proximity to bus station, restaurants, sightseeing. Staff very helpful

Hotel has perfect location close to the train station, old city and harbour. The only drawback is some noise from a nearby mainroad. Otherwise, a clear recommendation.

Nice but dated. Staff were professional and friendly. My Room was clean and tidy with high speed wireless and TV, and a poorly-stocked but adequate Minibar. Hotel location was fantastic: everything i needed was just around the corner.

This hotel is perfectly situated. Parking can be a problem but we parked at a cut price in the railway station car park. It is a little old fashioned but probably better for that.

Typical "Italian" venue and layout. Breakfast "ok" but limited. Lots of places to eat around the area. Beach a bit of a let down, easy to get to but nowhere to walk other than main road. Tourist information very helpful. Overall, for us, it was a very pleasant stay, would return again to same hotel.

Stayed in Cagliari for one night. Quiet room to the backyard (no view).

I enjoyed with this hotel, but unfortunatelly the Restaurant "Cobbetta" close to this hotel is really bad, the food and the staff. And really expensive, you must to pay for the chairs and table and plates, plus the food. Really bad imagine form the italians in this restaurant. The Hotel perfect, the location and teh staff!!!

First visit to Sardinia. Hotel is in excellent central location in city, near to waterfront, shops, bus and railway stations.

Good central place to stay. Pity no beaches in the town area. Had no car so Tour Bus and little train were well worth going on. Really need to speak a little Italian. Nice and hot 1st week in September.

The reseptionists need a basic course about service!

The location is great. Very clean. Nice service. But very old rooms and furniture. Too expensive to be so old.

Hotel Italia is close to Bus and Railway Stations. The Port is not far away and there are many restaurants and cafes close by.

The hotel is fine - in a fantastic location and quiet and clean. It is very old fashioned however and was last decorated in the 1970s! If you are looking for somewhere reasonably priced with clean rooms in a perfect location then this is for you. If however, you enjoy your hotel rooms and like to have pretty surroundings think again!

Ziet er op het eerste zicht wat oubollig uit. Maar het hotel is zichtbaar goed onderhouden en heeft daardoor zijn jaren 60-70-look met stijl bewaard. De kamers ruiken wat muf omdat er blijkbaar nog steeds gerookt mag worden maar verder zijn ze erg netjes en alle comfort is aanwezig. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en competent.

The air-conditioning didn't work to start with, then was repaired but broke down next day. Breakfast good but plastic table ware and plastic beakers were definitely passe.

A nice typical old Italian hotel. A little old fashioned (pavement everywhere, included in bedrooms, for ex.). The hotel was apparently set up by connecting several houses in the same street, which gives it a nice labyrinth structure. Clean and well kept. The breakfast is excellent, served at table by very friendly waiters. And coffee is excellent, as expected! Optimal location, close to very good restaurants (same street), to the water front, and to the nice "castello" old quarter. Above all, a good quality/price ratio.

This is a very good Hotel in order to be in the Center of Cagliary. I was there twice. I will come back.

Though mainly friendly, one or two members of staff were a bit stand-offish. Ignore them though and focus on the location.... the hotel is within 5 minutes of everything! Considering the relatively low price, the location was probably the best on my whole tour of Sardinia.

I stayed for one night before flying out the next day. it's on a side road in the Marina district, but not so hard to find. the area is great for restaurants and stuff. you can't do street parking during the day, but their parking at the train station is convenient and comparatively cheap. but it's a bit far to drag your luggage (you can drop off at the hotel and then move your vehicle). most the sights of Cagliari are close enough to walk to. it's good for a short stay in the city, but wouldn't there's not enough in Cagliari to be attractive for more than a day or two. room is clean but they go overboard with the air freshener a bit.

The hotel was nice, clean, quiet, very well situated in the heart of the city. The price seemed to me a bit expensive (80€ for a double room) but it was the average price in Cagliari for the season at least.
