Hotel Hospedería Las Cortes de Cádiz - Cádiz

The location of the property couldn't be better. And really, that's the best thing that it offers. The rooms are EXTREMELY SMALL. We had to move some of the funiture around to be able to move comfortably in that space. The "welcome" to the hotel was less than satisfactory. They were having computer/printing problems and the receptionist said that I had to leave my passport with here. I understand that they need a copy of the information, however since I'm not from the EU, I never "leave" my passport with anyone. It was very difficult for her to understand that. I tried to explain to her to simply call us back down when the she could make a copy vs. asking me to leave it with her. The second thing is that she then gave us the smallest room with NO windows. It was absolutely horrible. My husband went back down immediately to request a room with a window. (We later saw that they gave that room to another couple.) Later we realized that the shower didn't drain properly and that we had a very large roach roaming around in our room............this all happened within 24 hours. I'm not sure if I would ever return to this location. The staff needs a LOT of work.

Very well located in a pedestrian area, public car park in an easy walking distance even with luggages. Price is ok considering the location in the center of the old town.

Perfect location, right in the heart of the city. A little hard to find, impossible to drive to, you need to park and walk in but once your there it's perfect. I would stay again for sure. And they have a gym!

I'm not one to complain idly, but this hotel was a notable poor exception to all the other really nice ones we stayed at in Spain. Some points to note: Many rooms have no windows (!), additional payment required for sauna and jacuzzi sessions, staff seemed more interested in their phone conversations than in serving us, breakfast was largely out of packets or uncooked and once the overpowering smell of rose had faded from our room the overriding odour of smoke came to prominence! Oh, and not forgetting bath tub barely fit for a small infant! Plus, when I first read with avid curiosity about the themed elements of the rooms, I was expecting more than a single oil painting hanging limply on the wall (and bad one at that)! Pretty poor for the price...in fact, on reflection, I'm moving my ratings down another notch... I felt cheated!

Parking à réservé absolument sous peine de plus de place et galère débutante ! Chambre aveugle cause patio, qui ne m'a pas plus. Bruyant. Présence d'un gym, internet gratuit. Massage sauna payant. Petit déjeuner correct.
