Hotel Octavia - Cadaqués

The hotel was perfectly clean and comfortable, we didn't find the reception staff as friendly as in other hotels we have stayed in. The location is very central however it is opposite a supermarket and can be noisy in the morning when deliveries are made.

Very well situated hotel right in the centre of Cadaques, very handy for the beach and restaurants. Off-season Cadaques is fairly quiet and several restaurants and shops were not yet open. Lovely place to visit.

The first thing to know, is that Cadaques has the most confusing street layout of anywhere I have ever driven. Street names are difficult to find or read. Maps are useless. That’s not the Octavia’s fault, however, and once you find it, it is easy to get back to. The hotel is clean and simple. Our room (3rd floor, front) was large, had a comfy bed and large bathroom. From the balcony, it was possible (just) to see the sea at the end of the street. Street noise was minimal and the shutters were very effective. Breakfast was good. Two recommendations while you’re in town: do not miss the interior of the church. It is boring on the outside but, boy, do they make up for that inside. It is stunningly ornate. The food at Casa Nun (turn left onto the seafront) was outstanding and the tempura appetizer was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten anywhere! Two cautions: our food experience at T’Oranger (?spelling) was not the best – the food went back, but the staff were very pleasant. To console ourselves, we went to the Hostal Bar / Night Club. Great and very famous interior, but stratospheric prices: €24 for one cocktail, a glass of dodgy red wine and a water.

This is a quaint, clean, perfectly located hotel in the heart of Cadaques. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and the lobby has plenty of room and internet access. It was a pleasant surprise and I will return. The only drawback is it's a bit noisy in the mornings, due to delivery trucks on the street. I definitely recommend Hotel Octavia.

I was very pleased with the Hotel Octavia. The Hotel is located in the middel of Cadaques, we could see the beach from the balcony. Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast a little below norwegian standard, but for a continental breakfast it was way above average with anchovies, ham, cheese, jam, bread, croissants and more. The Hotel has it's own parking space, wich is a definitive plus in Cadaques. A little noise from the street will probably bother someone, but it didn't bother me. I recommend this hotel!

Clean, silent rooms to sleep very well. Good situation of the hotel but it was difficult to meet it when we arrived: the access isn't correctly indicated.

This was a good basic hotel right in downtown Cadaques 1 block from the beach, across the street from a grocery store. good air conditioning, hot shower, clean room, blackout shutters for siestas. decent breakfast. no safe. no mini bar, refrigerator or kettle. parking is in city lot 3 blocks up the hill for ~19 euro/day. staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming but not necessarily unfriendly.

Go to Cadaqués outside the holiday season. It's wonderful!!!

Wonderful hotel. Although the weather was a surprise to us (It snowed.), the hotel was welcoming, warm and everyone was helpful.

The hotel has clean rooms, suitable as starting points to visit Cadaqués, Port Lligat, Figueras and others beatiful places. It is located in the center of the little town, with a reserved parking area, 200 mt from the hotel, necessary in Cadaqués. Even if the hotel has no restaurant, a bar service is available. At higher floors there's no connection to wi-fi and the tv is only spanish and french: but when you go to vacation you don't need these, do you? :-)

We were pleased with the hotel. They offer a great breakfast, included in the price. Wi-fi was in the lobby only. If you want a quiet room just choose one not facing the street. The only noise was traffic noise during busier times of the day, but to me it was not bad. Traffic is light in this town/village, but motor scooters can be noisy. It was very close to the beach, shops, etc. Just be sure to get directions to the hotel so you don't have to wander around when you get off the bus.

Dear, that place! Not only the village is magnificent, but the hotel is just some steps from center and beach. Quiet, clean, modern but in an old style. I will never hesitate to get there again, you should not as well. Some poor services at arriving and breakfast, but nothing compared to price and location. This is more that expected, for sure...

We stayed at Hotel Octavia 3 nights while visiting beautiful Cadaques. The hotel is located within a very very short walk to the beach, however, it is not directly on the beach. It is a rather old hotel, and the furniture in the lobby and rooms, and bathrooms are dated, and show the age of the hotel. The breakfast service was very good and options available were impressive (cheese, cold meats, cereal, juices, and bread rolls). The staff provided basic services. All and all the hotel is very basic, and other than bed chambers does not have much more to offer. I would select another hotel that is a bit livelier for our next visit.

Highly recommend this hotel. Fairly simple, but very clean, very nice. Good breakfast included, parking provided, helpful staff, great location. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Would stay there again in a flash.

Great value for this hotel perfectly located in Cadaques. The rooms were big and very clean. Airco was working very well. If I come back to Cadaques, I'll book in Octavia hotel.

Très bon hotel , tout est très bien pensé , tout est très propre , à noter la possibilité de parking qui est trés appréciable à Cadaques .Certaines chambres ont des balcons -loggias qui gardent la fraicheur.A recommander aux personnes éxigeantes sur la qualité qui acceptent de ne pas etre en face du port .

L'hôtel est idéalement placé, au cœur du village et à 50m du front de mer. Les chambres sont spacieuses et d'une propreté irréprochable. Le personnel est efficace et discret. Excellent rapport qualité /prix en moyenne saison.
