Although this was our first stay at the Bel Air, it was not the first time to stay in this area of BsAs. We had noticed the hotel previously and thought it looked to be a better option over where we had stayed before. The area is perfect for getting away from the noise and high energy atmosphere that is Buenos Aires. At the same time, you are walking distance to design shops and neighborhood restaurants plus there is a lovely park 1/2 block from the hotel. The major commercial and transportation artery of Santa Fe Avenue is only one block from the hotel. One of the major qualities of this hotel is the quietness, not only from outside noises, but from room to room. I never heard doors slamming or plumbing noises during the 3 days there, yet I know the hotel was at near capacity as evidenced by the crowds at breakfast. The staff is very helpful with reservations for restaurants and transportation. The desk clerk doubles as concierge, so at times there is a bit of a wait, but they never seem stressed or put out by your requests. I think the addition of a concierge could be a service upgrade for the hotel. Our room was spacious with two twin beds that were larger than the average twin, two night stands a desk under the windows, mini-bar/fridge, two chairs and luggage rack and still ample space to move around. The bathroom fixtures, including a bidet, were all in good condition and spotlessly clean. I never travel with a computer, so the feature of free internet service is a bonus for me. They have 2 computers in a separate room off the lobby. The Bel Air will be our choice for future trips to BsAs.

At the airport's terminal book a remís (private taxi) or take a regular cab. The car ride into the city centre takes from half an hour to 50 minutes depending on traffic.
If you would rather use public transport, go out the arrivals terminal, walk right up to the bus stop and take bus No. 86. Get off at Plaza de Mayo square. The bus ride takes around one hour and a half. Walk 200 metres/656 feet until you reach the Catedral underground station located at the corner of Perú and Rivadavia streets. Take underground line D up to the Tribunales station. The hotel is 800 mtres/0.4 miles away.
