Villa Hotel Kristal - Budapest

Excellent location, convenient to public transportation. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and excellent value for the price.

The hotel needs to buy new beds and pillows. The bathrooms also needs to be renovated.

- a little bit old fashioned and dark - worn-out bathrooms. Depends on room (I stayed in two) but I noticed they're working on it. - no restaurant , but there are some close to the hotel (5-10 minutes) + free parking + personnel + price + location(10-15 minutes from the citadel) Suitable for short stays.

Very pleasant hotel in quite part of the city, only 15 minutes from the center by foot, even closer to the old Pest fortress. Very clean and tidy. Not all staff speak English (apart from those working at reception) but all are nice and friendly. Hotel is air conditioned. Breakfast is self service type - quite standard choice. It was my first time in Budapest and I liked stay here - will come again for sure should I come to Budapest again.

The hotel is in a convenient location via public transit to get into the main part of the city. For walkers it was a pleasant & scenic 30 minute walk that took you over the Danube. There is a large, modern shopping area nearby with a food mall & restaurants. Otherwise the food facilities were a little scarce. The clerk (Aletta) was a fount of information and we found her extremely helpful & courteous. When we took the taxi to our ship Aletta appeared from the blue to ensure the taxi driver understood where we where going. A thoughtful touch.

Nice and clean hotel for the one who wants quiet surroundings.Shoppingcenter nearby. Thirty minutes walk takes you across the river to Pest side. Very good communications, ten minutes by bus or tram to both Pest and Buda center.
