Location is easy for trian traveler. The free breakfast was excellent. The staffs are nice. Safety is OK.,about 10-15 minutes walking to the center of attraction. If you visit in summer, make sure the A/C in your room works,we think all units need totally check up.

It is hard to beat the Star Hotel in price/quality department. The hotel looks as newly refurbished, has free Wi-Fi, rooms are clean and comfortable, ~50 channels cable TV, breakfast and service are excellent and it also has spacious and nice lobby. As for some negatives, the room was a bit small and at night, the light from corridor was getting inside from underneath a door and some distant sound could be heard periodically, probably from some air-conditioner fan, albeit not very strong.

It was a very pleasant stay for the two nights in budapest. the troubles we had with the hotel were very minor (one minibar did not work, but for two nights this was no problem). the breakfast was excellent, the rooms very quiet, modern and big enough. the showerhead could have been more modern, but that is more an aesthetic complain. all in all a very good hotel for a reasonable price. if you walk there from the trainstation you'll have to pass a rather rundown neighbourhood though, but by the time you reach the hotel the surroundings are nothing to worry about.

Although location of hotel is within walking distance to the train station, the area around the hotel is a bit quiet to walk around at night but with the convenience of the trolley bus which stops right in front of the hotel, it is quite safe and convenient.

I was traveling with my boyfriend and another couple. Hotel was clean, breakfast fair. Price is good and hotel is not so far away from public transport. Overall it was nice place for overnight stay for one weekend. Budapest is great if you don’t eat their spicy food with paprika :-)

If you want a great breakfast with sparse but good accommodations this is your place. Directions were given when requested, other site seeing information was readily available and free internet was a blessing.

Close to train station and subway, 10 minutes walk. Surrounding area is less than desirable but nothing to worry about even coming back at night. WI-FI signal was too weak to connect.

The relationship between price/quality is very good. The hotel is near the Keleti station, where you can easily catch the metro or train. Even if you aren't in the centre of Budapest you can reach it in 10-15 minutes. We particularly appreciated the breakfast and the mini-bar.

Not very polite people at the reception desk and not eager to help when trying to request information about the city. Breakfast untasteful and bad located in the hotel. No Internet access (they seemed surprised when asked if were any available!). Small room for single use with no second pax towel when booked as a double. Thanks that I asked for uppers floors because lowers are very noisy if headed to the street. Location not so bad.

It's the first time I've stayed at Hotel Star Panzio. It's excellent located, near the Keleti railway station and 15 minutes walk to the center.

We stayed ther in the winter, main problem was the overheating in the room.

Surely the initial attraction to the Star Panzio is the price, but I found it to be a fully adequate place for my short stay in Budapest, and in excess of my expectations for something of this price. The location is pretty good, and the breakfast was a welcome touch in the morning. I had an awesome time touring Budapest, and was satisfied with the ability to do it without spending a lot, partly because of the S.P.

The staff insisted that we pay in cash, either forints or euros and would not accept travellers cheques or credit card. As we were new to the currency, language and city, we found this a difficulty, until we finally found a bank that cashed our traveller's cheques without commission or fees. It actually detracted from our stay in the city. Secondly, we had noisy next room residents, who partied until 3.00am in their room. Contacting reception did not have the desired effect.

Traveling on my own in business, I booked a single room. However, being the size of a stamp (not a problem if the bed had not as a result been better suited for a 14 year old) and with the most disgusting carpet I've ever seen being stained by all sort of fluids. NB! The carpets are severely stained every where, both in corridors and rooms, but this was different. Putting your feet on the floor without shoes on would most likely mean amputation within 5-8 days... Got a double room instead. Much better size and not as stained carpet (but not exactly clean). Overall impression - OK if you a) really can not afford anything else and b) book a double room.

The information about the location of this hotel is misleading. There is no way it is 10 minutes walk from the Danube.

I am surprised that such an hotel is recommended by Venere. You should visit it. it is durty everywhere, the atmosphere is not nice at all, far from what we could expect for a medium price, and compared with previous experiences. For information, the hotel was pretending that the credit card machine was not working, in order to be paid in cash. We refused, and by the end, we could pay by card, but they are playing this game with all customers, on request of the boss have we been said... This give clear picture of this hotel

We found the hotel to be very satisfactory and good value for money. The location was two metro stations from Deak which seemed to be the main axis station.

Our Room was too little(i think they gave me a single room, instead of a double room, because there was a three-quarter bed inside, instead of a double bed). temperature was too cold or too hot, there was'nt a medium way (it's not easy to regulate the broken knob of the central heating with the broken handle of the window). near of the metro station (five minutes walking) and just in front of the bus station. ESPECIALLY FOR THE ITALIAN PEOPLE: there was'nt croissants for the brakfast.

Very nice reception, and better than expected accommodations. The area around Star Panzio was old, and in a state of disrepair(the only reason location was entered as it was), but it allowed me to immerse myself in Budapest society, rather than other "tourists". The people I met on the street were pleasant, and friendly. I would highly recommend Venere.com, and Star Pranzio, for prices, and service. It was exactly as promised.
