We have a nice stay in Radio Inn. The room is big and with well equiped kitchen. It is well located in a quite place and close to the underground (really easy to find). They have helped us to book a minibus direct to the airport with reasonable price and was on time.

Rate on venere.com was 20 Euros more per night than just booking directly. Hotel would not adjust rate. While rooms are large, there is no a/c so we had to have windows open at night which made it noisy. Our room had two bedrooms, a sitting area and a small kitchen. The tv never did work, it was fuzzy and had terrible reception. Day staff acts very put out to help you, especially Antonia, guys on the night shift were helpful. The rooms were not cleaned well, we stayed 5 days and the floors were never vacuumed in the rooms and kitchen. Sheets are only changed every 3 days and the towels after the first day were very worn and tattered, some had holes. While it is close to the subway station, I think there are many better places to stay in Budapest. Also, breakfast was not included on our room and would have cost 12 euros per person. We did not try it. I think it is suited to mostly groups of high school students as one had just checked out and another came while we were there. When we asked them to call and schedule a cab to the airport they said we had to buy the voucher from them and they paid the cab company. It cost us 800 forints more than if we paid the cab company ourselves. Also, they charged a lot for local phone calls from the rooms. While they say that your money is valued at Radio Inn, they certainly didn't act that way towards the guests.

I stayed at Radio Inn three times in three years. It is definitely my favorite place to stay, especially the rooms with large windows that face the street. The price is amazing for the location.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. We were 2 young couples in an appartment with two separate bedrooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. The furnishing and equipment(especially kitchen) was a bit outdated, but functioning. Hotel employees were very friendly and always helpful. Hotel is very well located in a nice, quiet city district, close to metro station and Heroes Square. Next time we will use this hotel again.

The apartments are a little old, but if you don't care about it, they are very confortable. They are big, there are : kitchen, living room and bedroom. Relationswhip between price/quality is excellent. My advice is it : for a long stay or for a short stay without much money at disposition Radio Inn is the best solution.

The rooms are more immense than you can imagine. They look like flats. The furniture and appliances are old, but not dirty. Some might not like it though. There's a kitchen with fridge. Almost all the staff were very friendly or spoke good English, or both.

The room was really a small apartment and very nice. I was a little worried about the looks of the neighborhood when we first arrived; however, it is located among several embassies and we never worried about walking in the neighborhood and shopping at the local grocery stores. Most of Budapest looks like Juarez, Mexico as far as condition of the buildings. On our departure the hotel staff phoned the only honest taxi driver in Budapest to take us to the train station. We would stay here again.

The Kitchen was adequate for those who wish to shop and do some cooking. Was dissappointed in the Television which only had access to 2 Hungarian channels (manual operation). I inquired at the desk if there were more channels and said there were- however the remote only had 1 of 2 required batteries.

This hotel is somewhat of a find in Budapest. The double room is quite spacious with separate bath and toilet, and has an equipped kitchenette, more like a small efficiency apartment in many college campuses in the States... It is located in the Embassy row north of the city; two blocks from the Blayja Utca metro station... Quiet neighborhood, BUT the southside of the hotel is abutting an automechanic shop, so expect to be waken from your sleep at 6:30 AM with sounds of clanking metals, electric saw, etc...Nevertheless, I will consider returning to this hotel, that is if it was not located in Budapest, an expesive, dirty, graffitti-filled, cigarette butt-filled, third-world city that boasts only of a castle on the Danube...One day in Budapest is more than enough... Better to make it a base of day trips. Visit Visegrad, Godollo, and nearby north suburbs, or even hike the Buda hills.

The location is excellent, and the apartments spacious and well-equipped. However it did get very noisy very late on a couple of nights (parties at 4 a.m., etc.), and the staff seemed discinclined to do much about it.

The "2/3 person room" was in fact a nice and spacious flat. The hotel is in a very nice, residential area, very conveniently placed near a metro station to downtown center. The staff is welcoming and you can even come back with a guest without inconvenience. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We chose the location to be near our son's apartment in Budapest. It is a very quiet neighborhood but construction sounds started early. The metro was two blocks away. We had a warm and friendly welcome. The spaciousness of rooms had been royality. Our rooms were tidy but old fashioned and decripted. The central heating worked more than we need. The hotel´s biggest advantage is the 3 minutes walking distance to tube. Leaving hotel there was a (little) difference between scheduld amount and payed amount. Good price-facilities-relationship. All-in-all hotel is recomanded

Our apartment (no.202) was very spacious, clean and had a good cleaning service. For the price it was excellent with two (2 p.) bedrooms, a small living room and a small kitchen. Old furniture, but all functioning well. Ambassy neighbourhood, quiet but bit boring. Metro very near by, straight line to centre. Perfect hotel for Budapest.

We stayed for five nights in January, which was nowhere as cold as we'd expected, and lovely and quiet. Great simple aparthotel. Very basic, but spotless and really useful having a kitchen. Great if you're on a budget - nearby supermarkets in Kiraly Utca (where all the restaurants and bars are) have everything you need and we cooked in the apartment a couple of times and made our own breakfasts - we didn't try the breakfast in the hotel (it finished at 9.30 and this was a bit early for us!) Great quiet location near Heroes Square, City Park and its baths, Museum of Fine Art, and quick easy metro link to the centre. Near to the Terror Museum too, which is one of the best museums we've ever been to and really sets the scene for the city - visit it as early on in your visit as you can. We cannot fault the hotel and would stay there again. One piece of advice is to avoid using the Airport Minibus into the centre of town. We got completely ripped off as the prices are misquoted in all the guide books. It cost 4,500 HUF per person for a one way ticket to the hotel (in Zone 2) which was about £12 each! A taxi only cost 5,000 HUF and carries up to 4 people for that. We prebooked and paid for a taxi from the hotel back to the airport, and paid half the price it had cost us to get there! Beware!

We stayed at the Radio Inn for three nights for which we were charged a grand totel of 114 euros (just over £80). There were two of us which meant we paid about £14 a night each. That kind of price in most places would just about get you a dorm bed in some flea-bitten backpackers hostel, however the accomodation we got for this price was exactly as described - an apartment style suite comprising entrance hall, small kitchen and bathroom, and very spacious combined living/ bedroom with three beds. The decor of the rooms wouldn't win any design prizes, but the rooms were clean and spacious, with plenty of light, and were well heated. The public areas of the hotel were also tidy and well maintained. The hotel itself has a lot of character, being a converted appartment building formerly used by state radio employees (hence the name). It is in a very quiet and nice area, in the embassy district, a short walk from Heroes Square and the Terror House, and the tube station is literally round the corner, meaning you are about 10 mins from the centre of Pest on the tube (it takes about 20-25 mins to walk back if you're having a late night). The staff were friendly and helpful (all spoke very good English). My only minor gripe would be the beds which were quite small, but all things considered you would be very hard pushed to find better value anywhere in Budapest.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment (Apartment 1)in the Radio Inn for 4 nights in September 2007. Although the location of the property in the diplomatic quarters was fantastic (2mins walk to the metro, 10 mins walk to heroes square and city park, 10 mins walk to oktogon, 15 mins walk to west end shopping centre) the appartment was very poor. Our Apartment was on the ground floor facing the road, although we requested a quite room. The rooms have no A/C and we couldn't leave the windows open at night as we were on the ground floor and these road sweeping machines went by our window several times a night. Although the rooms were clean we weren't particulary happy about the apartment. The bedroom was spacious, but the bathroom, toilet and kitchen were tiny, poorly equipped and very worn. We have stayed in budget accommodation many times before, but we would not go back to the Radio Inn as the quality was very poor even for our low standards.

An excellent place for visiting Budapest (we stayed 5 nights): spacious, quiet and near underground and Place of Heroes. Furniture and technical equipment are clean and functional, but a bit old and not very aesthetic: some overhaul would be nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but not always knowledgeable about tourist information. Breakfast is rather expensive and of variable quality, but the kitchen in the flat allows to make your own.

Radio Inn offrs apartments, not just rooms. So there is plenty of space, and you also have your own kitchenette ( without a toaster tho; they should provide that). The staff are reserved but helpful, and all speak English. Ask for an apartment overlooking the back garden; it provides a tranquil setting in a location close to centre of Pest. The surrounding area is attractive, being the diplomatic area. You can easily walk to Heroes' Square, and, the other way, to Oktadon. An underground station ( you must ride on their very quiant u/ground) is 3 mins walk from the Radio Inn. However, there are few restaurants in immediate facility. Don't go to the hotel down the road, as the waiters are very arrogant.

Hola.

OK place to transit the city, but not a place to spend too many nights in. Rooms are big and it is easy to tell that the place has not been renovated in a while. The hotel use to be an appartment building for the Radio workers and it has been turned into a hotel without too much time or money spent for modifications or renovations. The rooms are equipped with kitchenettes, but all the equipment is old. We turned off the gas access line valve to the stove, as we were concerned about leaks, due to the stove looks and probable age. The personnel has been helpful with all our questions and anything we needed. Overall the hotel is a little overpriced for what it offers. The price of a room is on the same line with some hotels in Vienna which offer a better bang for the buck. A plus is the location: not too far from city center. The rooms are quiet. Next time in Budapest we will look for a higher quality place.

Our overall stay was great. The apartment that they gave us was extremely spacious. There was a kitchen, living room and a bedroom. The bathroom was pristine...very clean. However, the bathtub had no curtain which made it inconvenient as I am used to taking showers. The neighborhood is extremely safe. Radio Inn is very close to the metro station which made it extremely convenient to go into the city center. Mini markets were on the same block as the establishment which made it convenient for us to shop for food and snacks. Service was great. Restaurants are nearby...although pricey one should give it a try. There is one restaurant that is below an art gallery that is exquisite in service and quality of food. It is only a few minutes walk. I would definitely return on my next trip to Budapest.

The Radio Inn is in an excellent position just off Andrassy Street and very close to the Bajza Utca metro station. The apartment we had was relatively spacious, with a large room with two single beds (we would have prefered a double), and a separate sitting area. We also had a small kitchen with bar fridge and stove, and a small drying room. The bathroom had a bath and a shower (but no shower screen). There was a separate WC. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable - the worst beds we had slept on. It was also very noisy while we were there: There was a large group of young Americans staying in the hotel. The staff were helpful and assisted us with making bookings (taxis, doctor, etc.) and gave directions. Overall, the hotel is great value, with excellent rooms (except for the beds) and great location.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Radio Inn.The "room" was in fact a decent size flat, super clean and fab 70's style.Makes you feel at home so much you could almost live there!Loved the location, 10mn from the baths and tube line is so cute. The staff is great so will def be staying there again!

I have to say that me and my frends booked a radio inn apartament because someone leave us without an home for the new year, so everything was good. Our expectation were not so high, but the apartament was better. it is a simple little house with a good room service, also if they do not speak many langueges (only hungarian)!

We had mixed feelings about this place. We were expecting more than it turned out to be: true, the hotel is in a fine neighborhood and it's very quiet, which is something of a miracle by Budapest standards. Nevretheless, we found that the price/quality ratio wasn't very impressive. For the money we paid, we would have expected breakfast to be included, but it wasn't. We love Budapest, but let's be honest: it's not Paris or Rome...and yet in Paris or Rome there are many fine hotels at the same price level which provide breakfast. Also, the staff treated the clients like little more than money dispensers: pay us your money, then leave. It was a bit disconcerting...Don't these people realize that they are in the "hospitality" business? It doesn't hurt to smile...Best point about the hotel: the quiet and clean neighborhood. Worst point: the smug attitude of the staff

We were really impressed with the Radio Inn apartments. The location is quiet and very nice, close to the park and Heroes Square and a short walk from Andrassy Utca, with lots of interesting and attractive buildings including foreign embassies, as well as several metro stations into the city centre. The 2 bedroomed apartments are very spacious with a feel of faded grandeur about them; extremely clean and relaxing, with beautiful long windows similar to French doors and a good range of storage. We asked for a wake up call at 4.15 am and it came on the dot.

Unico punto negativo: non c'è stata corrispondenza fra il prezzo prevetivato da venere.com e quello poi effettivamente pagato presso il Radio Inn. La stanza è stata pagata 74 euro a notte anzichè 70 come indicato dal sito.

Venere's reservation system worked good for us. We could reserve the room without paying anything at advance. Also, the cancellation policy is great, if needed. Bill was settled at the hotel as site writes. Great service, keep it up.

I am a travel agent, and have been to Budapest many times. Sometimes staying in hotels and sometimes with friends. The Radio Inn offers the best of both for a very reasonable price. The hotel was once an apartment building and has the feel of living in Budapest not just visiting. I will strongly recommend the Radio Inn to everyone, and plan on visiting again soon. Thank you

Very good hotel; would stay there again. Large rooms, quiet, attractive street in an area of many embassies. Convenient to subway. Breakfast was quite expensive and a bit skimpy, and there were no real alternatives in the neighborhood. There are kitchen facilities in the rooms, but we chose not to use them.

My biggest problem with the two bedroom apartment that I stayed in was that the doors on the bedrooms were opaque - offering essentially no privacy. It was very disappointing. The apartment was very dated and I didn't really expect that from the pictures on the website. There was a charge for breakfast, but we did not eat it since we had an apartment and were able to cook there. The area where the hotel is located was very quiet at night, except for some loud partiers late at night. Although I didn't see any of the hotel rooms, I would not consider the apartment we had to be three star quality, but the price was good (252 euros for 3 nights = 42 euros per night per couple).

An absolutely great choice for staying in!! The apartment is big and clean. We were a bit afraid of the kitchen before we moved in. However, toilet, bathroom, kitchen they are all clean and seperated from each other. It is also quiet at night since it's not located by the mainroad.

Our stay in Radio Inn was comfortable. Accommodation was good, old fashioned in decor but clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast wasn't great but it was adequate. Very good thing about this accommodation is its location. Just off the Andrassi Ut it is next to the yellow metro line which has you in the centre within minutes. Indeed, you could walk home from centre if you had the energy. Two good restaurants close by. Clost to the Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition Centre and Museum if you are interested in art, which we were. Quiet and peaceful area. Very satisfied with our stay there and we would recommend it to others.

well located, and big rooms. The main drawback is that it has not been renovated since the sixties and cannot be described as very nice because of that. It was really clean but when youre sleeping on convertible brown and orange sofas , it is not luxury. It was fine for us as a group not too long ago out of school but would not be adequate for corporate travellers. But the clealiness of the place will prevent me from criticizing further. we had a good time.

A real gem. Very spacious and good value for money. Excellent location, just a minute's walk from the very charming yellow metro line which takes you into the heart of Budapest in less than 10 minutes.

Our confirmation said we had a double room with breakfast. However, on arrival we were told there were no double rooms left, so we had a twin, and that breakfast was not part of our package. Overall mediocre, nothing to get excited about.
