Without doubt the best view of the river and Parliament house from any hotel in Budapest. Otherwise it would be not be 4*. That said the price per night is still reasonable value. The rooms are tired and in need of an update, new beds etc and the windows really need to be double glazed against the traffic - but that may affect the view? Most expensive coffees I've had anywhere in Hungary if not Europe (cost more for a double expresso than the Michelin rated restaurant we went to. Otherwise, helpful friendly staff and for the tiem being free parking on the street is a bonus.

Slight noise problems with the arguing couple next door through the interconnecting door. Other than that, this is an excellent choice, well located and we would be happy to stay there again.

All of the Hotel Victoria's 27 guest rooms offer 4-star accommodation, suitable for single or double occupancy, with a stunning view of the Danube River. The rooms feature a wide range of luxury amenities such as free wireless internet access, a mini bar, air-conditioning, and satellite TV. If you do not fancy bringing your laptop along with you, then you can always rent one from the hotel.Each room also has 2 direct dial telephones where you can make very cheap international calls to mobiles and landlines, and a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. Two attic rooms also have a balcony too.

How to reach Victoria Hotel
By carFrom the west or north (on the M7 or M1 Motorways): approach Budapest on Budaörsi út Street, go straight on at Alkotás út Street, and turn right at Márvány utca Street. Go over the Chain Bridge and through the tunnel. Turn left into Fő utca and Bem Rakpart Streets, where the hotel is located.
From the east (on the M3 Motorway): after the end of the M3 Motorway, go into the city centre and through the Hősök tere on Andrássy út Street and then take József Attila utca Street to the Chain Bridge. Go across the Danube River to the Buda side and turn right onto Fö utca and Bem Rakpart Streets, where the hotel is located.
From the south (on the M5 Motorway): take Nagykörösi út Street into Budapest and turn left onto the Lágymányosi híd Bridge. Drive across the river then turn right (north). Drive along the Danube to the Chain Bridge and then the exit towards Fö utca and Bem Rakpart Streets at the roundabout.
By train
From Déli and Keleti Train Station: take the metro line 3 to Batthyány tér Station. Take tram no. 19 for 1 stop and get off at Halász utca Street, which is near to the hotel.
From Nyugati Train Station: Take the metro line 3 to Deák tér Station and then change to line 2 and get off at Batthyány tér Station. Take tram no. 19 for 1 stop and get off at Halász utca Street, which is near to the hotel.
By airplane
From Budapest Ferihegy International Airport: take the BKV Plussz-Reptér Bus to Köbánya-Kispest Station.
