The staff at the reception was very nice and welcoming. The bed in the room was not the most comfortable, but stayed there just one night so it was ok. There was a bath tub in the bathroom (great surprise), the ventilation was a tiny bit loud tho. The car parking apparently belongs to an other hotel, so after check out at the reception you also have to validate your parking ticket at the other hotel's reception!!! Be aware as they don't inform you about it! Breakfast was continental buffet, cheese and butter were not the freshest. Overall for the price it was good. The room was huge with big windows, and the staff was really nice!

This is an excellent small hotel. The room was good and well equipped with not only two comfortable beds but also a TV and a safe. The evening manager, Tibor, spoke excellent English and took a real interest in each guest and that guest's purposes in Budapest. He helped sort out the dilemmas in realizing those purposes. This reflects a dedication to "service" rather than just raking in the money for the rooms. The restaurant serves very reasonably priced meals and there is a big variety of items even for breakfast. This makes Hotel Unio not only a bargain but a very satisfying and comforting place to stay.

Thank you so much for the hospitality. The breakfast offering was fantastic. Appreciated the "old-country" appearance, the furnishings, the ideal location. I was pleasantly surprised.

Unio hotel provides a great price/quality relationships, rooms are clean and very comfortable; only issue I had was to connect to the free wi-fi from my room, located at the top floor: signal was too low.

Room was big and clean. Furniture is old, bathroom is newly remodeled. Breakfast was good and included in the price. 20 - 30 min walk to the river or 5 min walk to metro. Internet didn't work for a few hours after check-in. It then started working but only got one bar of WiFi upstairs. This was disappointing as I needed it for work and to plan activities. Overall good hotel for the money. -Chicago

Very friendly, all important sights on the Pest side can be reached within max. 20min walk, breakfast good and comprehensive (eggs, sliced sausage, rolls, several teas, cereals). Free parking in front of hotel, quite save area, unfortunately a bit noisy from the floor in the morning. Air conditioning available, but too loud for the night. Coul speak at least very good English and German.

We found this hotel was good value for money and was well located. The only aspect we found not to our satisfaction was that it offered a 13 euro in-house meal that turned out to be not good value, though the breakfast was fine.

Hotel Unio is quality at the right price. It is close to Keleti train station and major tourist destinations, in a very walkable area. In fact, although I planned to try mass transit, there was no need, and I ended up walking for the entire time I was in Budapest. The staff was courteous and professional and the room I had was pretty big for the price, and very quite. Air conditioning was a welcome surprise. I wasn't expecting it for the price. And the bathroom had evidence of recent remodeling. I was also pleasantly surprised by the included breakfast. Well-appointed with many options, available until 10:00, a good way to start the day, reducing the cost of eating out (though Budapest in general is pretty cheap by European standards.) I recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Good breakfast, but the staff had difficulty to supply enough meals, particularly when the breakfast room was full on Sunday. Only three parking places in front of the hotel for free were full, parking in all surrounding streets is difficult to find and it is not cheap; the parking yard about 100 m from the hotel is not cheap either, though not too much expensive.

Near the center of all happenings. 4 free parking spaces in front of the hotel and nearby indoor parking. Very spacious rooms (ceiling 5-6m). All hotel is in a kind of 70's stile. Not in the busy street, the rooms are quiet. Furniture and bedding needs renovation. There are several rooms with triple beds (with proper beds) suitable for families with children.

Our rooms were spacious and clean. The receptionist was very friendly and he spoke italian too! He helped us with the parking. The breakfast was good. The hotel is near the city centre, very close to a tram stop and quite near to the underground station.

For a taste of the authentic Hungarian and East-European Jewish cuisin look for a small restaurant called Fulemule. It's within easy walking distance from the center, on a small, unassuming street. A real gem!

The overall stay was quite good. The target for our stay was the Formula 1 race. The only really negative thing with the stay was when we had the receptionist organize transport for us. We ordered a taxi to pick us up. Both times this happened we got a pickup by a non-taxi car without a taximeter, and we discovered that the price we paid was significantly higher then what we would have paid if we organized this ourselves.

Good location. Close to restaurants, bars, etc. Old building but rooms are ok, although the bed wasn't great. Bath room was good. Limited (free) parking space in front of the hotel. (I got a parking fine from the police...)

The stay at the hotel UNIO was very pleasent. The whole team at the hotel was very competent and friendly. The room and the whole hotel has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast: all what you want! In one sentence: much, much more than you can get in other hotels with that price!

Clean and spacious, with a relaxing and satisfying restaurant. However, when I was first checked into a room, the fridge was not working and I found that the door could not be locked! I immediately reported the problems to the receptionist, but he acted like I was a fool who didn't know how to lock a room and asked me to go up by myself only to check once more. But the problem is the door should be locked automatically once you closed the door! It wasted me so much time to go up and down for several times with a swollen foot which I hurt before the stay. That particular receptionist was really unhelpful! But this hotel has many different receptionists shifting around the clock and I have to say for the rest whom I had encountered, they were perfectly polite.

internet is a problem. the public facility is labelled only in hungarian and it is not self- evident how the apparatus works. the desk clerk said it cost HUF 50 to operate, but the machine said HUF 500.. Excellent breakfast buffet, however.

I stayed in the hotel only for 1 night. Everything was over my expectations for 3*-hotel. The property is well situated - qute near to the most of sights and to metro-station. But map and description how to get the property on the web-sight could be better. The room was rather lardge and very clean. The brakfast was also very good - even with chiken and fruits. Staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. I will surely book this hotel for my next stay in Budapest
