K&K Hotel Opera - Budapest

Hotel has very good location, just next to the Opera and the main city street. It's easy to walk to the main city sites. Provided breafast is excellent. Complaints: had a double room, which was pretty small and claustofobic. The bed was hard; actually had 2 single beds connected instead of a double bed. Expected more from the room. Hotel service was relatively good for Hungary (I have not been impressed with the service in Budapest while visiting restaurants and other places; service is usually slow, and there are lot of con-artists on the Budapest streets who are trying to deprive unassuming tourist out of their money, using numerous tricks). Expected more from Hungary/Budapest.

The location of the hotel relative to the Metro and the Opera is excellent. There are lots of reasonable restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was very good. This was very good value for the price.

We had a wonderful stay at K+K Hotel Opera. Location was excellent! Rooms were very clean and modern. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great too.

I booked my stay through Venere the night before but when I arrived I was not in the hotel computer at the front desk. However, the lady telephoned somebody and they found me somehow. Felt a little awkward. I found the beds too hard, it would dhave been nice with a softer, thinner matress on top of the bed for better comfort.

K+K Hotel is ideally located behind the Opera House, great for a change of clothes before you attend your evening performance after a day's travels. Also, the dining scene is more lively since the more touristy shopping districts actually close in the evening

Excellent accommodation, excellent service and excellent transfer between airport and hotel. We all have double rooms, singel used. It was indeed value for the money. We give full recommendation for this hotel.

Awesome location, breakfast was good, room was clean. Good food at a restaurant called Balletcipo down the street from the Opera House (go out of hotel towards Opera House, turn left, one block turn right, left again at next corner and it is down the street)- a great little outdoor spot. We walked everywhere from the hotel including over to Buda and the Gellart baths.

Just returned from a week staying at K and K Opera. Friendly, efficient and welcoming staff - and excellent breakfasts. Situated just behind the Opera House and seconds from a metro stop (try the metro - it's quick and easy to use, especially if you purchase a Budapest Card), it was on a slightly scruffy backstreet, but the general location made up for it. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable efficient hotel excellent for all the attractions of Pest including hte Opera and the City Park with the Fine Art Gallery.

Wonderful location, good sized room for an european hotel. Breakfast was very good.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest. We went for a long weekend, the hotel is within walking distance of all the main areas of attraction and the staff were extremely helpful.

Convenient to all public transport and great restaurants. Excellent friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay. We arrived early and left our bags while they cleaned our room and had a very nice room. The staff was efficient and friendly and the location great. It was very hot and the front desk had nice cold free water throughout the day to take. We had a bottle of wine in the bar and took the remainder and glasses up to our room for a late night drink.

A clean, modern, hotel without any special flair

Conveniently located next to the State Opera. However, the street on which it is located is gloomy and run-down. Other than this, the hotel is of exceptional quality, on par with any five-star hotel. The included breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated the free in-room ethernet connection for internet access.

Room was unbearably hot (similar to other comments I had read on-line from previous guests) so choice was to open window and listen to late night bar directly across the street or keep the room quiet but to hot to sleep - despite thermostat turned down to 5 degC

Desk staff were fantastic and very helpful. Convenient parking under hotel. Room a bit small. Good quiet location.

I have previously stayed at K & K Hotels (Vienna) and found this hotel in Budapest equally enjoyable. Location superb and employee assistance excellent.

A foirdt rate hotel, right next to thge Opera. I could not fault it. I thought it was also very good value for money.

Hôtel très bien situé, très calme, personnel sympathique, très bon buffet mis à part le café et le fait de se sentir quelque peu surveillé. Nous le recommandons.

This is in a very good location. Close to the opera house, good restaurants and shopping area. Free high speed internet connection to your room is a real plus!
