Excellent and beautiful hotel in historic building beautifully restored and converted into a hotel. We had requested a view room. The room we were assigned had a very large balcony but behind the facade of the exterior of the bldg., thus completely blocking the view. The receptionist who accompanied us to the room volunteered that he would try to find another room with a view. He placed us in a much larger room with a front view. We were quite pleased.

The hotel was beautiful, staff very attentive, we used the massage and sauna facilitieson our last morning and it was wonderful.The only moan I have and it is nothing to do with the hotel is the metro.We were fined £45.00 for not having the correct ticket, I think UK visitors should be made aware that the ticket system need looking at, the staff on the ticket booths do not speak good English and when you have requested a return ticket and assumed you have paid for that to find out you haven't when you are accosted by a ticket inspector is not a very pleasant experience. We wil not be going back to Budapest.
