Nice location, which is central, but very grumpy staff at reception when we arrived (never had such an unwelcoming reception). Otherwise the staff was nice (the chap at reception when we left was nice and helpful, just the opposite of the receptionist a few days earlier). Rooms are OK though sound insulation is not great in our experience. Plenty breakfast but...to be had underground and with dim ligths...not ideal when you've just woken up but..again OK. Altogether an OK hotel.

The location is the only one positive aspect of this hotel; I had a room in the 4th floor and I couldn't rest becouse of the sun that came in trought the curtain. breakfast was awful. More appareance than essence; 4 stars is too much for this hotel that in my opinion is a 2S or 3 stars.

Hotel was listed as having a restaurant. Not so. Told it was under construction, when in reality we had breakfast there every morning. On the last morning, july 28 there was no bread rolls etc.The staff could not offer any appology nor could the staff at the concierge. counter. Also in the room , there was what was needed for a coffee except no coffee sachets or creamers.

We arrived 4 hours before check-in and had to pay an extra 30 euros to get into our room that was already available. After a restless overnight train ride, the room was welcome, but the charges were excessive. The room was nice; no view and not a lot of space, but enough for luggage and moving around comfortably. There aren't many restaurants in the area, surpisingly, but we found a fabulous Italian restuarant, Oliva a few blocks away. All in all, we'd stay here again.

The hotel is extremely well positioned for tourists who wish to walk to the sights. Our only quibble would be with the restaurant. The breakfasts were excellent, but the one evening meal we had there was disappointing.

I really enjoyed the (short) stay. I'd rather have stayed more. The hotel is very close to the center (Vaci utca) and the location is centrical to reach the interest points (Andrassy utca, Octogon, metro..)

Budapest is a wonderful city to visit if you need a break from the Euro prices. Our room in this hotel was large and clean except for a few spider webs. The bathroom was very small and the tiny shower was grungy. The hallways are a little too well lit - the scuff marks on the walls show very well. The heat must be controlled with a central boiler, because adjusting the thermostat did nothing. The positives, however, far outweigh the negatives here though. The restaurant was excellent and the location very good. Budapest is very easy to get around in with a Budapest card you have unlimited access to the Metro (subway), trams and buses and get from one place to another easily. Pick up a newspaper called The City Magazine of Budapest (English version) with a great transportation map. The hotel provides subway info on their location on their webpage. If you are taking the train, get off at Keleti station and read the hotels "HOW TO REACH THE PROPERTY". When you get up to street level look to your right for a large pale green Lutheran Museum (there are two subway exits - don't know where the other leads). Walk a short distance keeping the museum to your right. There is a tourist info office in the area, but in case they are closed look for a green store sign for MATCH. Cross under the street using the pedestrian crossing. The hotel is about 1/8 mile from the Match on Kiraly. You can print a Metro Map from the internet. The stations were extremely clean, bright and looked well maintained. Worth a quick visit even if you don't use the transportation. We really enjoyed Budapest. There is lots to see.

The hotel surroundings were very good, and the taxi transfer is good (when you are with 4 people, otherwise it is expensive). The rooms at the streetside were very spacious and clean, but the only thing I have to say is that the shower was not in a good condition. Nice place were they serve breakfast and dinner.

Although advertised, the wireless did not work for me and my colleagues. I stayed here twice and I was assured that things would improve - they did not. I got RIPPED OFF by having to use local calls / dial up to check my emails - SLOW AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. NEVER AGAIN ! There are much better and honest hotels in Budapest for business people like me who go to Budapest on a regular basis.

The room was huge for European standards and the A/C was great in the rooms if you could make it up the elevator and in the hallway without suffocating. It was hot, though, 35C! The breakfast room was fun - in the cellar which is also a restaurant. And I don't think the wifi worked, but we had that trouble a lot on our vacation, so it may have been our laptop being from the US. The location was good, though farther from the train station and public transportation than I would have liked. But then again, it was hot and we had just travelled up from Greece through Macedonia and Serbia, so we were a bit tired. How nice to have such a large room to spread out in, though. I loved Budapest. It was my favorite city on our tour of Europe! Oh, the front desk was very helpful in getting us train schedules for our excursions outside the city. Don't miss Statue Park, which is a bus trip, if you're from the West!

Nice, spacious rooms but with windows that do not open. Not recommended if you are dependent on fresh air to sleep well. Also some of the staff were not too helpful. A little "cold" athmosphere in the lobby, and do not expect great coffee even though this is an Italian-owned hotel. Apart from that: excellent!

I was shocked to find out that there were no rooms with bathtub, since I requested a room with a bathtub. If the hotel informed me in adance that there are no rooms with bathtub, I would not have stayed here. The quality of the shower was very poor. It seemed that the hot water stops when other rooms were using showers. In addition, you can even hear the cough of the next door! Very noisy! For this price, I really cannot accept this facility. However, I can say that the breakfast was excellent and worth a visit. Maybe only the breakfast!

Nice Hotel overall. Rooms on top floor not recommended as windows where on ceiling. Public Internet area very basic, high taxi rates from hotel contractor compared with standard.

Excellent hotel in a very good location and at a great price. The breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. My only complaint would be the price of drinks in the bar which was about double what other bars in the city seemed to be charging and also lacked atmosphere. Overall, a very pleasent stay.

Wireless internet should be set up correctly. TV Channels were very limited. To open and close the windows, one needs staff intervention (due to the windows being locked). Also, the room temperature was too high and the a/c could not be modified. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant indeed, very good location, and very good value for money. The breakfast was excellent.

Strange hotel room badly decorated, but very spacious and clean. Don't expect a nice view. the employee were efficient and correct but not more. Location is ok, but you have to walk a bit to go to the main shopping areas (if this is what you look for). If the hotel is just to spend the night and not more, it is fine. If you expect to stay more than that in the hotel room, I would not recommend it. Have fun.

Our two night stay at the Domina Fiesta hotel was alright, but not great. The location is good, just a few blocks from St. Stephen's Basilica in the center of Pest, but for a chain hotel the service was not up to par. We arrived quite late Saturday night and they were wonderful at check in and even telephoned a restaurant a few blocks away to arrange for a late dinner for us there. When we returned, the night shift front desk man (whose name escapes me) was EXTREMELY helpful in assisting us with activities and things to do during our short stay. However, that is about where the excellent service ended. The shower in our room was broken and the doors were falling off and the hot water was non-existent. We complained to the front desk the following morning and were lead to believe it would be fixed that day. We went out for the day and returned in the afternoon to discover that not only had it not been fixed but they in fact had no plans to fix it as it was Sunday and their repair man was off. This is something we should have been told that morning when we spoke to the people at the front desk. Meanwhile, we were expecting to shower and freshen up before dinner that evening. I am in property management so I understand that Sundays are a tough day to get people to work, however a chain hotel should have an on-call repairman, especially if they are full and have no alternate rooms to move guests to if problems arise. They promised to have the shower fixed first thing Monday morning which was the day we checked out. They did not come to fix the shower and we in fact ended up showering at the baths in the afternoon before catching our train to Krakow. Nor did we receive any compensation for a clear lack of basic utilites. I cannot say that I will stay at a Domina hotel again. Their complete indifference to our problem was unacceptable despite the good service at the beginning.

The price was very high (for Budapest) because was the week-end with formula 1 race. A group of drunk english men in the night start to talking loud and singing in the corridor and this noise was for about for 1 hour at 3.00 although I phoned to the concierge .
