The double room junior n.45 is only for children or for lilliputians because is in the garret. the entire room is 4 square mt about (bathroom included) with claustrofobic ceilings. There's only one small window on the ceiling and in spite of air conditioner it's terribly hot. the double bed is leaned against the wall and the second person sleep with the ceiling at 15cm above the head.

Very small room under the roof, was possible to stay only in one corner then you have to bend to get the other corner of the room...permanetly hot flooor in the bathroom, not even possible to stay on it...but the girl on the reception was very nice, polite and gentle...breakfast was also very good

Wir haben dieses Hotel zum Formel 1- Rennen gebucht und waren eher enttäuscht. Unsere Zimmer lagen unter dem Dach und waren winzig, da praktisch alle Wände schräg sind.

Me, my wife and two teenage children stayed at the Fabius Panzio for seven days recently. We were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, which were a good size (on the first floor). The hotel is out of the way on the Buda side of the city but this should not put prospective clients off as the city centre is within quick and easy reach; there are several different trams which can be accessed within a two minute walk from the building, and the nearest metro is also close by. The Indonesian restaurant within the hotel offers excellent food (there is a review about it in the "Time Out" Budapest guide). Please don't leave Budapest without trying it. The only slightly negative point about the hotel is its proximity to a local hospital, causing frequent noise pollution from the ambulance sirens on the way there (including during the night). That aside I thought the hotel was good value and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest.

The hotel was decent however a bit too far from the center. The rooms were extremely small almost claustrophobic. Most of the hotel staff was quite helpful and pleasant.

Molto consigliato per rapporto qualità/prezzo. Posto rilassante e servito dai mezzi per arrivare al centro città. Consigliato. Parlano italiano.

The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the room I stayed in was clean & spacious. The location of the hotel is good being close to the tram network, however, it was fairly limited for eating out- we often had to travel long distances to find good places to eat. Overall, highly recommended.

My rooms were on the top floor and the ceilings are slanted, so it was difficult to use the shower and to stand up properly. The hotel isn't located close to anything, but you can hop on the trolley to get to the metro and then head into town.

Very nice, familiar place. Although it's placed a little bit far from the downtown, it's easy to go there by tram. The staff is very polite and make you feel comfortable.

Stayed here 3 times over the last year whilst travelling through Budapest as it offers good value for money. This is especially true of the Junior rooms which, though (very) small, have everything you need in a hotel. If you're over 6ft tall, junior rooms are probably not recommended ;-) The hotel is 10-15 mins walk or a short tram/bus ride from Moscva ter (Moscow Square), so well connected with Budapest's excellent public transport (The front desk has tickets for sale which is a bonus). The Indonesian restaurant in the same building offers very good food and is recommended though it is a little pricey by Hungarian standards. Daytime staff is good and helpful but the night porter leaves a little to be desired. Buffet breakfast is adequate ... if things run low do not be afraid to ask for more! Overall, whilst it may not be perfect, it offers good value for money and is recommended for price conscious travellers.

Hi The staff were excellent with us, the hotel was nice, the rooms were nice, shower in our room was a bit on the small side. The hotel is right beside a tram line which gets you anywhere in the lovely budapest so it was handy. Would recommend it.

We (young couple) ordered a junior suite and were quite disapointed about our room. We expected a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room. We got two rooms with lots of beds and a bath room. That was not really, what two people need. It seems, that in Hungary a junior suite is more an apartement for many people than really a suite. But apart from that, the hotel Fabius Panzio was really great. Breakfast was good, the prices were fair and the employees friendly and competend. Also, it was very easy to get to the city center per tram and metro.

HOTEL MOLTO ACCOGLIENTE E PULITO. I GESTORI PARLANO ITALIANO E SONO MOLTO DISPONIBILI (ANCHE PER INFORMAZIONI PRATICHE ES. RISTORANTI O CENTRI COMMERCIALI). 2 MINUTI A PIEDI DALLA FERMATA DEL TRAM (PASSANO MOLTO DI FREQUENTE). IL RISTORANTE ANNESSO E' INDONESIANO.

Excellent value for money - we only can recommend Fabius ! Very helpfull multilingual staff (engl.italian, spanish, littel portugues - we did not try german). A few steps from tram No. 18 end-station (a few stops to Metro Stop Moszkva Ter & Deli Train Station / direct connection to Gellert Bath). We booked 2 junior rooms - small but pleasant rooms under the roof with compact bathroom (floor heating !) For the price we expect a poor breakfast but were surprised by a plentyful Buffet served in the stylish Indonesian Restaurant belonging to the Fabius. Next time we will also try the indonesian food. About Venere: We already booked 4 times this year with Venere: Every time we had a reserved room, no real disappointment but positive surprises (as the Fabius)

A very good option in deed, there are not too many night transports to the door but the main hubs are 10 minutes away on foot so it very convenient. Otherwise everything else was excelent.

The only problems we had were that the 'junior suite' was actually two extremely tiny rooms in a very low ceilinged attic. The lift only went to the floor below and there was just a narrow spiral staircase up which we had to maneuver our big suitcases. We complained and the manager, Csilla, was very helpful in getting us a normal two twin bedded room on the second floor - at a lower price! The room faced Varosmajor street and the ambulances at night did wake us up a few times. With the windows closed it was ok, though. The location is convenient to public transportation and the staff is accomodating and speak numerous languages. We chose this hotel based on the location, since it is close to Moskva Square where there is a metro stop but it is also in a greener part of the city.

How to reach Fabius Panzió Hotel
By airplaneThe Budapest Ferihegy Airport is located 15 km (9 miles) from the city center. The airport runs a minibus service to anywhere in the city, which costs approximately €4,90. On arrival simply visit the minibus desk and state your destination. The bus is likely to drop off other passengers on route but provides a cheap, reliable service throughout the city. Similarly, when traveling to the airport simply call the office on 1 296 8555 and tell them which flight you are on. It is best to call 24 hours in advance to ensure they are able to collect you.
A taxi to the center of Budapest will cost anything between €14,00 and €18,00. A large taxi rank is in front of the airport terminal. It is recommended to arrange with the driver how much it will cost to reach your destination and never to use an unmarked vehicle.
