Newly renovated floor and rooms. Slightly noisy, but otherwise rather comfortable and very convenient for the price. Run and enjoy before it gets run down!

Yes, I know the price is "unbeatable" and the location very good, but there are some aspects that can not be ignored: 1. the cleanliness (better: the dirt) - all the beddings were dirty from the first day, also the towel; nothing changed for 5 days... 2. the noise - the building is located at an intersection with trams, buses, metro station, lot of traffic and crowded with people. As someone said: you have the feeling of sleeping on the street. (If you can sleep at all.) But maybe the noise would be attenuated if a window had not been broken and irreplaceable ... 3. no chair in the room, no hanger or hook in the bathroom - nothing... Otherwise - great ... Budapest - as we know it ...

+ +Very convenient location between Keleti station and city centre; excellent metro, tram and bus connections. + + Plenty of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and banks nearby. ++ Relatively spacious rooms for a budget hotel in a very good condition and absolutely clean. + Nothing at all to complain about the service. - Breakfast not really recommendable, quite bad coffee and juice - - Extremely noisy surroundings Knowing that it’s not the fault of the hotel staff I hate to give this hotel a poor rating. Without the noise from the busy crossroads right in front of the hotel we would have got a very good value for the budget price. However, we found it extremely hard / impossible to sleep at night. One might have a chance to get used to the tram (already loud enough …) but the sirens of frequent ambulance cars were infernal. On the other hand that’s probably the price you have to pay for the convenient location … for my part I would definitely choose a more quite place next time, though.

Very pleased, very good value. Staff very efficient and pleasant. Look for single doorway between Burger King and the big bank. Be ready to telephone desk (have cell with you) if front door lock won't open (bit tricky, first time only). Excellent location at Blaha Lujza metro station (buy tkts in pkgs of 10).

I was on a business trip. However, I had enough time to vst Budapest as the hotel is located very convenient - close to Keleti railway station (15 min) and to the city centre (20 min). It is an excellent place if you want to visit the city and pay less. The public transport is in easy reach. The staff was really great- they helped us a lot when needed and were very firendly. The building is beautiful also and vey quiet. We will certaintly return in our next trip to Hungary!

Very clean, very central, very helpful. The decor is very minimal (bordering bare), but the apartment was extremely clean. There was a problem with the hot water, which was promptly fixed. We stayed in the "apartment". Small little changes would turn it from 'very good' to 'exceptional value': add a table, a coffee maker, a second chair. All in all, a very good value for the size/location of the place, extremely friendly and helfull staff.

The hotel is conveniently located with a metro line just steps away. It,s difficult to find the entrance to the hotel the first time you arrive, because it has no name, and you have to wait outside and ring a bell until somebody opens the door from the second floor. Even though it was just a place to sleep, the room has a lack of furniture. No table o chair to put the luggage. There is no such public area, and the window curtain was too thin, you could see through. The walls, also, are too thin, you could hear the next room, workers renovating other rooms and when everybody opened the noisy antique door. Maybe if you ask for a quiet room would be better, because its not a bad place to stay. The hotel has a lot of potencial with a few improvements.

The overall quality is excellent. But first, in spite we were in an excellent room, it was only a problem: it was near a big avenue with little acustic isolation. We ask for change to another room and prontly they change us to a very silent room. The rooms are very good in space, comodity and clean.

We stayed there for 2 nights(friday and sunday) (couple). First room was spacious an it looked on main Rakoci street, so it was a bit louder. Bathroom was very clean and nice, so was the room and linens. The heating was working fine. Second night we were in the other room which looked on backyard. It was smaller, but quite and very clean. The location of Centrooms is perfect-one metro station from railway station and 2 stations from Vaci street. Around the building the are fast food restaurants and supermarket, which is very convinient. Staff was very polite with perfect english, and we could pay in Euro as well :-)

the floor of the room was really dusty. when i asked them to clean the next day and emphasized the floor to be cleaned... it was still the same after i came back. the hotel entrance was hard to find because the reception is on the second floor. moreover, the doorbell on the ground floor was broke. thus i had to wait for other people who had the key to let me in... finally, the reception desk is not 24 hours. they never informed me about it... and i have to pass the reception office to get to my room, i was locked outside! and if it weren't my friend who returned earlier to the room... i couldn't get inside! thus i am giving this hotel a really low rating!

There is "Burger King" at the corner and other cafes, supermarket across the street. Staff is friendly and helpful. I live in Italy, and for this quality in Italy you have to pay a lot more. My room was facing the outside street which is one of the main streets in Budapest, and then it was quite noisy, but the room by itself was quite good and clean. Staff was very friendly too. Wi-fi is free and work perfectly. It is quite near of many of the main tourist attractions. With 10-20 min walking you are already there, and there is a subway station just out of the door. There are many supermarkets quite near too and some fast-food restaurants. You can pay the bill in eurosl, so you don't need to change money. And it is better that way. Don't change money in the airport as I did. it is the worst thing you can do.
