My single room was excellent -- modern and clean. The WiFi service that was included and flat-screen TV were a great addition. The mini-bar was sufficiently stocked. A mini-safe was much appreciated. An the bathroom was bright, clean and modern. I had a room on the courtyard and was happy that, along with AC, I was able to open the windows for fresh air. The breakfast area was nice, too, with a glass roof. The location, near the busy hub of Déak Tér, was very convenient. Kiràly Utca has been successively renovated over the past few years and is a good place to be. I have travelled to Budapest many times over the past ten years and usually stay with local friends. For a series of reasons I had to be in a hotel this time and was greatly pleased to have found this place. It provided a very positive and pleasant experience and, so, I would highly recommend the CARAT to all visitors.

Great location in the centre of Budapest. We (2 adults, one kid 15years) stayed over a weekend and enjoyed it very much. In few minutes you are in the walking area and in the shopping mile of the "vaci ut". It wasn't necessary to use the Metro for sightseeing. Garage is pretty close around the corner.

How to reach Hotel Carat Budapest

By car
From Vienna, or Prague: you will be traveling on motorway M1, then M1/M7. As you get closer to city you will see signs for bridges. Follow the Erzsébet-híd (Elizabeth Bridge) sign. Cross the bridge on the Danube and turn right, then keep going straight. By the 2nd traffic light, turn left, then straight for about 0.65 miles/1 km, and turn right at the traffic light. Pass the first big intersection (Andrássy str.), and take the first street to your right (Káldy Gy u.), then the 2nd street to your right (Király u.). After a little bit, you will reach the Hotel Carat Budapest.

By train
From the Keleti train station (East), and the Déli train station (South): take the underground no. 2 to Deák tér. Then walk to Király u. Street. From here it is just 100 meters to the Hotel Carat Budapest, which is located on the left side of the street.
From the Nyugati train station (West): take the underground no. 3 to Deák tér and then walk to the Király u. Street. From here it is just 100 meters to the Hotel Carat Budapest, which is located on the left side of the street.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property.
