The staff was very disposable and helpful. Breakfast in room is simply fantastic and amazing. Good location.

I selected this hotel on Venere. It has both a standard hotel (opposite the museum), and also runs a small number of self contained appartments several blocks away in a different (old) building. The appartments are excellent, modern, clean, have cooking facilities and washing machine (which we gratefully used) - and have breakfast delivered daily. There is a problem on arrival - as we arrived with plenty of luggage (6 week trip) dropped by taxi at the HOTEL, and had to wait more than 40 minutes at reception for another taxi (kindly paid for by the hotel) to take us and the luggage to the APPARTMENT. There were no available hotel rooms, as I would have swapped. The other possible issue is that the appartment is on a long small back street - busy enough during the day, but rather dingy and perhaps risky at night. We felt quite uncomfortable returning very late both evenings. The building is ancient (perhaps 19th century) and appart from the downstairs corner block where the group of appartments are located, the rest of the block looks very run down and shabby (although not quite derelict). It takes 3 keys to enter the appartment - front street locked door, corner appartment section, and of course our appartment. Don't loose the keys as they are required for exit as well as entry! I don't want to be too negative, as the room was great, price is good, breakfast nice, staff friendly, and we had a great time in Budapest. I would probably recommend the actual hotel rooms unless you needed to do self-catering or laundry. (Note: Public areas rating only applies to the hotel reception area - which is up a couple of floors - with lift/elevator after entering an insignificant street door).

Excellent location for seeing the sights on foot, central to nearly everything. For that reason, on a city street with active street life but rooms on 2nd (3rd US) floor and very quiet. Street level entry unassuming, lobby on 3rd floor. One of the nicest hotels we stayed in on our trip: heartily recommend it.

Very nice and comfortable hotel, located near the most interesting places of Budapest. Moreover in the hotel surroundings there is all you need: underground station, post office, market, bank, pharmacy, bars, restaurants and pubs.

We booked two studio appartments and had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious and the children loved to use the jacuzzi. We can recommend the hotel to anyone.

We had a lovely room with a big window overlooking the museum. Clean, lots of light and spacious, and because of the double glazing it was quiet despite being on the front. The staff couldn't have been more efficient and helpful. Although it wasn't the cheapest it was good value for money. We would definitey stay there again. Breakfast, ordered the night before from a good choice was delivered to our door and we ate at a table in the room - very relaxing. There was a hot and cold drinks facility at reception which was always available and you could help yourself. The only negative (if you view it that way) is the hotel is on the second floor of an old building and courtyard and rest of the building is very shabby so doesn't give a good first impression. However do not be put off - inside the hotel is fully refurbished. Overall we appreciated being able to see inside one of these old buildings and it certainly had character. The hotel is in a good location with plenty of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

We didn't stay at the hotel, we stayed at the studio apartments two blocks away. After we checked in and got directions to the studio, we didn't go back to the main hotel until we checked out. It was very nice in the studio apartment. It was very clean , had a kitchen, washing machine, breakfast was delivered daily at 8:00, there was daily maid service, phone for free local calls, and very nice location. I don't think we would have gotten to the hotel without specific directions from other people's reviews. Also the hallway was dark and someone had recomended bringing a flashlight, which came in handy. Overall, it was a very nice way to have an extended and affordable visit to Budapest. Within blocks was the metro station (two actually - Astoria and Kalvin Terr.), a tram stop, Raday str. with lots of cafes, the great market hall, and Dohany u. with cafes in frount of the synagogue. It is in the neighborhood of the National Museum and two colleges. The rates for a studio with all those amenities (jaccuzzi too) was very good. The neighborhood felt very safe at night and the security felt fine in the building. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very modern, nice and clean with OK view. Lobby area was very small with no other public areas. But the really, really bad part was the entry from the street. There was no hotel markings; the door was big and old, and the entry behind the doors was like an alley with garbage cans. I almost left before getting to the lobby.

As I stayed in "block B" suite, which is about 300 mt away from the main building, I can't say anything about the hotel itself. Rooms are clean, spacious but the "jacuzzi" bath did loose water...I guess they knew it - may be they will repair one day? Staff friendly and helpul. The main building is just outside the metro station but there is only a small sign outside and you may miss it, however is before the flower shop.

We were in Budapest for 2 days as part of a tour of Central Europe. The room was extremely spacious and nicely decorated. It was well located but also quiet, which was good. There was a kitchenette with a very useful washing machine, breakfast delivered to your room every morning and friendly, helpful staff. However, the bathroom got completely soaked every time you had a shower and had damp patches on the walls, and some complimentary tea and coffee in the room would have been appreciated, which is commonplace in many hotel rooms.

Wer also ein solches Frühstück im Zimmer will, sollte hier wohnen. Wer aber morgens einen heißen Kaffee und nicht Nescafe-Cappuccino-Zucker-Brühe möchte, Vorsicht! Schade, denn die Zimmer sind okay und die Lage unschlagbar.

It should be mentioned clearly that the hotel is non an entire building, thus having no private entrance, no common spaces and no breakfast room. Breakfast can be improved.

On arrival, we were told that we were to stay in the appartments nearby. This turned out to be very lucky. The room is huge, the quality of the furnishings excellent and the bathroom comes with hottub and bubbles. If only all hotels were like this.

Very nice & central location, warm welcome. Rooms are very new & absolutely clean. The Studios in Block B with Jaccuzzi are at Puskin utca, about 200 metres from the main hotel with the reception. Do not expect large hotel signs, both the main hotel and block B are parts of larger residential city houses in some state of decay. Nevertheless, both hotel portions are spotless and completely renovated & refurbished. Breakfast box at the door is perfect, no fixed time & breakfast inside the room is 100% convenient. Only toaster for the white bread is missing, we used the frying pan at the studio to toast it. Raday utca with a lot of restaurants & bars is very close as well.

Stayed in Budapest for 2 days and it was a wonderful vacation. I had a bit of trouble finding the hotel even though it's located on the main street. Its beauty comes from the fact that it not all lights and flags. It's a cute little place that gives you a comfy feeling. The rooms were very clean and the employees were all warm and welcoming. I'll definitely recommend the hotel to others.

I would like to recommend to other travellers Budapest Museum Central hotel. It is new and beautiful, located right in the center of the city in front of the National Museum. It is easy to find and staff welcomed us in very friendly and warm way and we felt like at home. Our room was spacious, with new furniture and large beds, high ceilings, clean bathroom and all modern equipments, like internet, flat Tv, aircon. We felt in love with the view we had onto the Museum from our room that in night is very romantic. Nice breakfast was served directly in the room each morning. Perfect cleaning.

I missed a ready-to-use computer for internet. According to the website transportation by minibus to and from the airport should be included in the price - which appears to be not!
