Hotel is in an old apartment building and difficult to find. Our only real problem was that we ordered breakfast (delivered to the rooms) at a specific time to enable us to get to our ferry & the breakfast was very late. Check-in reception was friendly but check-out in the morning was more unfriendly.

New spaciouse room, well furnitured, free WiFi. Really friendly and competent personnel. The only problem is to find the hotel first time.

My stay at the hotel was great, even welcomed with a bottle of good wine, the room size was all I needed, it is within walking distance to most things and the sightseeing bus stops right behind the building, the staff was great & helpful - I got good advice of places to eat. One negative point - the name it not well indicated & I found the hotel rather difficult to locate, an improvement here is a must. The owners can also upgrade the passage to the reception area - a paint brush van do wonders

Everyone says it's hard to find, and that's true. Károly Körút 3/A is not in the same building as 3B and C, if you follow the street to the next building you'll find the hotel. We had a pleasant stay in a huge room and had some help exploring Budapest from the lovely personnel working at the front desk. They also reserve taxi which I recommend since taxi drivers in Budapest try everything to overcharge. The location is perfect for shopping, dining and taking the tram or metro to one of the bathing facilities in Budapest. It is also in decent walking or taxi distance from the train station taking you to the airport for almost no money at all.

Wonderful staff, very clean rooms, great breakfast. But a little difficult to find. Some larger signs in the ground floor and first floor would help. Great location right next to the synagogue and hop on hop off bus.

Finding the hotel is very difficult (though its location is excellent, next to the synagoge, close to 2 subway stations, turist atractions and central Peste). When you eventualy find the building, it looks quite creepy. But once you actually get to the hotel, it's a very pleasant surprise: the hotel is quite nice, recently refurbished, clean, quiet, people are very friendly, breakfast is served to you in your room at a time of your choosing. I'm very happy with the hotel choise I made.

Excellent service, clean room, just a few minutes walk from 3 metro lines, wireless internet (super speed)... Girls on the reception are very proffesional, their knowledge of English is good, and the room heating - very pleasant! We will back again.

The hotel is somewhat difficult to find (look for brass plates outside the gates and press 102 to call the desk for entry, then go up entry stairs inside courtyard to red elevators for 3rd floor). Once there, the welcome is genuine and the hospitality superb! Our luggage did not arrive for several days and the hotel made repeated calls to help us keep the airline and shipping office on track. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. We extended our stay and they only charged us the lower prices that had been instituted since our booking. Breakfast is delivered to your room and is filling and generous, although without variation. Free wifi and/or data connection in room (there is no real public space other than two chairs by the reception desk and a stand with tea). Good location across from the Grand Synagogue; excellent transportation options steps from the door. We left with very fond memories of Dorka and the other staff members, and we recommend the Karoly Central to all.

The hotel was well situated but within a mixed use building. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were brought to the room and this was a big plus. Although the rooms are small, they were well appointed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I really didn't expect that this hotel was that charming. I'm really tired of huge hotels, and this one was just the type I like, not that large, very quiet, with spacious rooms, great surroundings. And I would really like to thank the staff for helping that much to get acquainted with Budapest.

I recently got back from a trip to Budapest. The city was beautiful and my vacation went extremely well. Surprisingly, one of the high points of my stay was the hotel Budapest Karoly Central. It is a small, almost boutique hotel located in the city center right near everything. The building that housed the hotel was from the turn of the 19th century and gave an elegant atmosphere to the whole experience. The room had high ceilings with plaster moldings along the borders, my room even had a balcony that I used. The hotel was extremely clean and furnished nicely. From what the young woman at reception told me, the hotel just opened in May so everything was really in top shape. I brought my lap top and could plug in for no charge (which I liked because the last hotel I stayed at charged me 8 Euro an hour!). The receptionists were very friendly and even made tea for me. One thing that was a pleasant surprise was that a good breakfast was delivered to my room in the morning rather than me having to go to a dining room - breakfast in bed! It was great. Anyway, the folks were really nice and I just wanted to recommend this hotel to any travelers coming to Budapest. A real gem in the center. Thanks guys.
