The hotel needs repair and maintenance, bathrooms are terribly left with poor quality of accessories, the welcoming was not only bad but even scary, the person who was at the reception on my arrival day can do any thing but being at a front desk at a hotel. There are huge potential at the hotel to be the best, but this needs a good management!!

Very bad hotel. Rooms smell bad, smoke. there is nothing to wash hands in the room. They are arranged everything to earn money. Everything you can imagine about a hotel is terrible bad. I cant find words to describe. I dont certainly recommend to stay at this hotel

hotel had had mixed reviews, especially about service and cleanliness, but it was Ok and met my needs as a dental tourist. I got extra pillows without hassle. I chose to eat in for two evenings just for simplicity, food was edible but a high price for the quality by Budapest (but not by international) standards. At £102 for three nights in the 'high' (ie May) season, including coffee and croissant for breakfast, I thought it good value. Full hotel buffet breakfast was available for extra but not worth the money in my opinion. Opposite a tram stop, two stops away from a major interchange and Metro.

The price is very attractive during promotion. The view from the room is very good. The transportation is also convenient. The staff is competent and friendly. However, some group guests talked loudly at the corridor at late night, especially during the weekend.

This is my 3rd stay at The Budapest Hotel, which I thinks says it all. I have returned as the staff are professional, friendly and welcoming. It also offers very good value for money. It is easy to get into the city centre as well.I requested a high floor as usual, and as usual my request was granted, with a room on the 13th floor with a magnificent view over the city. Well done The Budapest Hotel and well done Venere

Perfect hotel when you don´t want to stay in the middle of the city center and it´s very easy to go down town with different public transportations. Kind and polite staff and nice and clean rooms with a fine view.

This is a great hotel, a VERY short tramride to Moskzva Tér which will take you anywhere and is a great central point to explore Budapest. Rooms are modern, clean and offer excellent views of the city and also the beautiful hills of Buda. We found mostly couples in the hotel as well as a few coachloads of tourists staying a couple of nights. The entrance areas are extremely clean and spacious, lifts are very fast, corridors are amazingly clean (we saw the carpets being steam cleaned daily), and rooms are spacious with EXTREMELY comfortable beds and furnishings. Overall, an excellent hotel with great staff and an old fashioned soviet feel to the place. Highly recommended

Very nice hotel not too far from the centre. Recommended for young couple who can move without any problem. By bus or tram you can reach soon the centre. The relationship between price/quality is incredible, never found in Italy.

The hotel can be easily reached by car and public transport. The costs for breakfast and parking are too high. The air condition was not working very well and the doors to the rooms may not be closed quietly, however, the rooms themselves are quiet. Recommendable!

I just wanted to comment that when i booked months ago i specifically requested for a room as close to the top. We checked in at the designated time of 2 and still didn't get a room near the top, the best they coud do was 7th Floor. The service of the individual was average as he was quite arigant. Other staff and service was perfect though.

The only problem we had, it was with reference to the breakfast. When we arrived the staff told us that it was not included and they wanted to receive 9€/day and person. We had papers in spanish with the reservation where it was clear that the breakfast was included on the price. Finally, after explaining the problem to 3 people and showing our reservation, they told us it was all right and we could take breakfast without any additional payment.

The location is a little far from the downtown, but it is not critical for sightseeing because tram is very near. I think the hotel is suitable for young or middle aged couple.

Pluri-fermata bus e tram sotto l'hotel!

We had a room at 13th floor, there was a beautiful view to Budapest. It's just great waiking up and seeing the blue sky and the sunrise. Room was quite spacious, bed is comfortable, except lamps above the bed, we striked our heads against it a few times when got up. Personnel at reception was kind and friendly. But made's behavior was very strange - we left the sign "Don't disturb" at our door, but it was ignored, we found it inside the room. Location is not bad, but you have to use public transport to get there.

The hotel was excellent in every respect but the food. We ate in the restaurant for our first night, as we hadn't found our feet by then. The food was very expensive and stone cold. We found excellent places to eat elsewhere. Trams were right outside the hotel which took us to wherever we wished to go. I shall certainly return.

Location of this hotel is adequate. The hotel is not centrally located, but there are tram stops outside the hotel which allow you to get to the centre without too much difficulty in about 15 minutes. We experienced difficulty in obtaining a taxi to the airport from this hotel with the firm recommended by the hotel staff charging extortionate prices. I would recommend arranging a ride with the mini bus style operators rather than ask the hotel staff for help (they were particularly unhelpful). The air conditioning in our room was so weak, even at the coldest level, that the room was uncomfortably hot. The room itself was quite small, but it did have great views. However, the big windows meant that heaps of sun got into our room, and heated it up to a very uncomfortable level, which the a/c could not deal with. (June visit - during 25 degrees) The hotel has a nice breakfast area, and the breakfast served was OK. The hotel is adequate, but I would have difficulty recommending this hotel for the price that is charged. For what is offered, the out of centre location, the poor service and the uncomfortably hot rooms, this is an expensive option for Budapest.
