Kind staff and absolutely centrally located with underground station 5 metres away! One can avoid using public transportation because everything is so close at hand. Good value for money and if I should go back to Budapest I would stay in this lovely hotel once again.

1st time in Budapest and an excellent base to see all the sites from, walked from the hotel along the Danube to and around margrit island then up to bude castle and along to the citadel. If you don't fancy walking the red city tour bus stops across the rd from the hotel. The hotel itself had absolutely nothing I could find fault with, and amazingly neither could my wife. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful, when asking about concert tickets they immediately offered to call and book, directions and advise were always willingly given, couldn’t ask for more. I'd happily return again and again.

Hôtel avec un certain charme, silencieux parce que chambre côté cour, acceuil peu chaleureux, petit déjeuner trop cher, quartier peu acceuillant mais bien placé pour visite.

I had never been to Budapest and this visit was for pure pleasure. The only drawback to the hotel was the front desk person: he was very haughty and condescending. I have since learned that his attitude may be "typically" Hungarian male. In the end he gave us the help we needed, but not without "attitude." Everything else about the hotel and the city was wonderful!!

Location is convenient. It is within walking distance from all central major sites. It is just a few hundred meters further than the cluster of the major international five star hotels. The metro is located just in front of the front door. It is very enjoyable for people who appreciate staying in historical buildings which preserve intact their original ambiance. The hotel has been renovated and is in excellent shape. Excellent value for money

Hotel Astoria was the perfect hotel to visit Budapest, it is very centrally located(underground stop outside the door of the hotel)less than 10 minutes walking from the elegant Vaci street, fully furnished, clean. Receptionists speak english and are very kind. The only thing that left me astonished is that in such a place you have to pay to get an internet connection!Anyway if you're there to visit i recommend you hotel Astoria!

Excellent location and beautiful decoration. However, wi-fi in our room did not work and we had to change the room. The check-out procedure was poorly arranged and took too long. Breakfast was good, but it was difficult to find a clean table.

When pulling a beer do it in front of the customer not under the counter and topping up the glass from other glasses under the counter is not ON. Only had the one beer. I should of brought it to her attention but late in the evening and tired. Everything else perfect and would recommend.

Location was pretty good for seeing the main attractions. Close to many restaurants and bars. Friendly and courteous staff. Breakfast was good but a bit chaotic around the buffet. Room was a little small but did suffice.

El hotel está situado en un lugar centrico y magnífico, con el metro en la puerta, así como tranvías y autobuses. He estado 4 días en Budapest y la localización del hotel me ha ayudado a optimizar mi estancia

This is a nice hotel on the inside. That is about all. The staff is incredibly rude and unwilling to help in any manner. We did not even receive a "hello" upon arrival, merely told that our passports were required and I had to have my CC authorized. We had to ask for a map. We would ask for directions or recommendations and again were slighted by the staff. At least 5 different people treated us as if we were an imposition instead of guests. The street side was noisy and even though I specifically asked for an interior room we did not get one and again the staff did not help. The rooms were not cleaned to any decent standard. The cleaning people barge in at 9am. This was supposed to be our splurge an it was no better than any cut rate hotel. I do not recommend this place unless you have money to waste, because you certainly get NO/ZERO value for your money. As compared to Prague where we paid half the price and were treated wonderfully....this place is a disgrace. The beauty of the interior is definitely not worth the extra money.
