I stayed here with my girlfriend. It is a nice place with good access to public transport. Once you understand the public transport system in Budapest you will have no problems getting around anywhere. everything is pretty good at the hotel. The rooms are unbearably hot if you close the windows and the air con is ineffective... And that is coming from an Australian. Staff are nice and will help you out where they can. I think I really expected some sort of breakfast though.

Also there are very good tram lines Good Taxis and price are low (24€ to Airport) The hotel is a old building renewed with problemas like only one key for room. The hotel is very good to family or people who want to use kitchen (no my case)

The hotel is good, value for money. The room provided was close to the main entrance - so very noisy The breakfast was rather good. Not so close to the city center, it takes about 15-20 minutes. Recommended!

Nice and quiet place, good quality furniture, really kind staff, great location for visiting Budapest, even greater if you leave your car home and the price is really good for what you get. We had a wonderful experience and we will definitely come back

This hotel is really a nice place, it's difficult to see it from the street, because it is located in 1 or 2 flours in private building. The interior is new and in very good condition, people working there are polite and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but its not a problem for people without kids. I can firmly recommend this hotel to people looking for a low cost stay in Budapest. The hotel is a very good value for money.

I went with my husband to Budapest, to visit my sister who was there in Erasmus. Although the surroundings aren't great, it is close enough to metro and tram. The entrance of the hotel was a bit scary (it is in an old building), and it has no lift so my husband had to carry both of our bags upstairs, but the hotel itself has been redone and was a nice surprise. Our room was great although we could hear our neighbours entering their room and talking loudly. Even if it wasn't perfect, it has a great relationship between price and quality and if we were to go to Budapest again, we would definitely stay there.

I booked a double room juts for myself, but I was given a very spacious self-contained flat with a huge bedroom, cooking and eating facilities, very good bathroom with shower. The reception staff was very polite and helpful. Location was perfect, and the building has a lot of character. There is no lift, but this happens to be no issue at all for me personally. The room overlooking the street can be very noisy if loud people pass by, but I didn't have this problem as the street seemed very quiet all night. All in all, the value for money was excellent and I would highly recommend this establishment.

The hotel, once you find it and once you get upstairs is very nice for the price. The hotel is in a shared building which is a bit run down and the neighborhood is very dirty and a bit sketchy at night. If you drive to the hotel, parking is not plentiful and whatever you do, do not leave your car for even 10 minutes as you will find a ticket when you come back. The location however is close enough that we were able to walk to all of the major sites and the castle district. There are also metro stops close by and taxi's are pretty cheap. Overall the place was fine for us, but if your used to something a little nicer then I would stay closer to the center and historic areas.

The hotel was very new and clean. You could order a breakfast for €3,= simple but good. There is no airconditioning in the hotel. It was very hot in the rooms so we slept very bad. It 's a 30 minute walk to the chain bridge. There are busses and trams in the neigbourhood.

To be honest, I think Central Hotel 21 is more like a residence. It's a pity that our room full of smell of paint and we can't open our window easily because the paint stick to it. When I reserved the room, it didn't show up that we have to pay an addition tax for each person by night. And metro station or bus stop are not really close where we live.

Finding the hotel with google maps was impossible. Detail of roads was poor and often completely incorrect. We found it by serendipity. The parking wasn't close or as cheap as they mentioned but very secure. Only common areas were air conditioned, none in rooms which was unbearable in the very unusual 42C heatwave. They did switch our room to try to keep us cooler. Helpful staff. Overall a good stay in a great location. Rooms aren't large but brand new and very well designed.

We were in Budapest for 2 days in July and we stayed at the Central 21 Hotel. Overall our stay was ok, breakfast was fine (given that we have only payed 3 euros/person). Three things that were not as expected: we rented what on the website was presented as an apartment and we had expected 2 bedrooms (there were no pictures or additional information on the website regarding this aspect); however, we only found one bedroom, with 3 beds that would accomodate 4 persons in one room. The second issue was that there was always a very pronounced smell of gas in the room and we had to leave the windows open even when away. We were under the impression that the apartment was a little bit improvised in terms of utilities. The third thing was parking. On the website there was a mention that parking was not free, but it cost 8 euros/day. However, we found out there were no parking places available near the hotel, as the law did not allow more that 3 hours of parking in one place in the center of the town. We had to place the car in a specialized parking area, which was convenient, but more expensive than expected. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and rather newly refurbished. Overall a nice stay.
