Too expensive, poor quality, not to recommend at all. Many damages in bath room, old bed, old furniture. Dirty carpet, you have to wear shoes.

The acommodation is not really a hotel, it is a guesthouse. The location, in the center of Pest, is unbeatable. But the facilities are quite poor, carpet and furnishings are old and shabby. I spent three nights, and the room was not cleaned or tidied up after the first night. Budapest has efficient Underground, better to stay in a hotel in the surroundings close to a subway station than in this accommodation

I just say this. Dont Book. If you enter there, Run. I had runed away. This is the worst place to stay in all budapeste. Believe me. You just have to read the other comments to now I'm telling you the truth. Avoid this place. It's follwing a part!

First, the bad points for me: the employees don't seem to like to work here! The morning we can only hear "tea or coffee?" from them!Plus, rooms are near the corridors(privacy reduced), and the breakfast didn't fit to me ;) On the other side, the hotel is really well located, near deak ferenc, the station that is on both subways! In a beautiful and animated area, and in a funny building! The rooms were really old fashionned but spacious and clean...What worths the price for me really is the location ;)

Carmen Mini Hotel is NOT a hotel. It's a apartment wiht few rooms where the houseowner lives. It's very dirty and poor.

What I found best in Carmen Mini Hotel was the front desk emplyer, Mr. Ligetvári Gábor, who was always trying to help and extremely cooperant regarding several doubts about transportation outside Budapest.

The hotel has a fantastic location but is basic. We remained with the wc broken for 2 days!

It was AWFUL! It is not a hotel at all!It is just an apartment on the 2nd floor of the apartment house - very difficult to find, no sign board, nothing, even none of taxi drivers know there is a hotel. Interior has nothing to do with the pictures on the Venere.com. I would NOT recommend thougn the location is quite good. I believe you can find a better place in the same location!

Nice hotel centrally located in Budapest. Room was a bit dated, but ok for sleeping in. Near metro lines and river, so easy to get around. The only downside is trying to find the hotel. It is located in an alleyway next to the Pizza Hut and there are no signs telling you it is down there.

THE ROOM WAS DIRTY AND FULL OF DUST. IT'S INCREDIBLE BECAUSE IN A HOTEL WITH ONLY 6 ROOMS TO CLEAN, WILL BE NOT A PROBLEM. ALSO THE TOWELS ARE SMALL AND BROKEN. THE BREAKFAST WAS ACCEPTABLE AND THE ONLY POSITIVE POINT IS THE POSITION NEAR THE DOWNTOWN AND THE UNDERGROUND STATION AND THE KINDNESS OF THE YOUNG GIRL IN THE RECEPTION.

I didn't expect luxury for the price offered but I was wondering - how place like that could be a 3 stars hotel ?! I was glad to spend just one night there. It is cheap and situated on a perfect place, however.

Never go there. It's horror.

Doors and windows were unlockable, heating was turned on only for 1 hour a day when we were out so the room was VERY COLD in the morning and evening. The bed sheet was a single one on a double bed so we slept on a dirty mattress. There was no electricity in the bathroom, the toilet box recharged in about 45 minutes, towels were actually broken duster cloths and we had to ask for the toilet paper. They never made up our room in 4 days (neither the waste bin). There were uncovered cables. The breakfast table was dirty and located in a cold corridor, the service was VERY SLOW (30 min) for some hard bread, crummy cold cut, cheese and jam (we had no bravery of touching ancient corn flakes in a ex-transparent box), acid milk and burned coffee. When we arrived they didn't ask us any money... When we came back in the first evening (it was about midnight) they asked for cash, so we discovered they DID NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. The day after we payed in HUF and we spent about 15 EURO more! If you go there (we advise against it) PAY IN EURO or they will cheat you!
