Botel Hotel Lisa - Budapest

Well connected low budget hotel for the independent traveller..Only recommended to family's with little children when you travel by car. Don’t take breakfast there… An honest report here... From airport to hotel takes 1 hour by local buses ,with one change. The way from botel to the centre, walk over the bridge to bus line 23 which brings you to downtown bus stop Borraros ter, about 20 min. At night it was quiet in the hotel expect 1 night, dogs were barking. Comments about noisy ducks are nonsense on this site. Excellent low budget botel, we had a total of 175 euro for 1 week! for 2 persons in 1 bedroom. But you have to push the beds together. Window opens wide, douche toilet small but ok, the boat needs some paint and has old furniture, Airco ok. Take NO BREAKFEST there... Coffee tastes like hell. You can get BETTER and MORE excellent breakfast close to bus stop Borraros ,after 15 min. walk. In the famous eatstreat Raday utca. On botel you can have 0.5 liter of beer, it is 400huf is 1.35 euro. Same as almost everywhere in Budapest. 5 days in Budapest is also enough. Look out for rippers at Gellert bath because my phone was stolen there. Beautiful and varieties Széchenyi Fürdö swimming pool, sauna and bath was much better. Except sauna in Holland is much better ofcourse. Public transport, tram, metro, bus are good. But when you walk you see more.Don't take taxis, they charge more. At night the bus also rides. Watch out for sellers of iphone because these phones are made in China , they are fake. Go for exchanging money to the local Volksbank in the nation Raday Street, they are cheap and more reliable.

Not clean enough. The smell from the canal is very bed. However, the breakfast is very good. Free parking and fast internet in public areas.

Great place to stay, absolutely recommended!!! Just a bit far away from city center, but still okay, 20 min by bus.

Great time!

Very far from the city - takes a long time to go there - with different buses / Streetcars. The area around the Botel Lisa is not visitable-very dirty and ogly. Not visitable for handicapped and elder people.

Far from the city. Not very clean

v enjoyed r stay. staff was v helpful, volunteering extra help as v were in Budapest fr the 1st time. 1 staff member who spoke a little hindi (as he had visited Bombay) walked up to us on his own to make us feel at home and offer to help in any way if v faced a problem. The minifridge was a little less effective and the airconditioning not enuf for the summer temperatures bt as we only had to use the room to sleep it was nt much of a prblm. There was a group of young girls staying there so the noise level was a bit higher but not a prblm. The breakfast was healthy and wholesome and inclusive in the room fare. we will definitely stay here again next time. Well connected with the city center with a change of only one bus stop and u can reach the Chain Bridge in 15 minutes. Sitting on the Danube watching people Kayak by was quite relaxing.

The hotel was lovely, people was kind. Good breakfast, good public areas and free wi-fi. A little bit far from the center, but the service was so good that we surely will choose again this hotel to our holidays in Budapest.

After reading some reviews of the hotel before going there I was quite worried and apprehensive but most of the people's complaints turned out to be outdated. My room was clean and the staff made sure to clean it even more every day during my absence; most hotel staff were very nice and helpful although not all of them spoke good English. It's true that the hotel is very far away from the centre of the city but once you learn how to get there, it's not that difficult (and buying a Budapest Card, if you don't have a car and don't wanna use taxis all the time, really helps and makes things easier!) and you'll get to see this face of the city you can't find in the tourists-oriented trendy downtown. All in all, I'm quite happy with my stay at this hotel and who knows, maybe I'll choose it again when I visit Budapest again.

The address provided on the hotel page is not recognized by GPS. I used two different GPS devices, none of them could identify the address. But the hotel can be reached very simple, giving to GPS the address "Gubacsi hid" (Gubacsi bridge), the hotel is located right next to it. One can see the hotel when one pass over the bridge.

L'albergo è carino, un buon rapporto con il prezzo pagato ma troppo lontano dal centro. Consiglio la permanenza a chi non vuole spendere tanto ed ha poi la macchina con se'. Personale cortese ma stanza piccola. La colazione si fa in una sala molto carina ed era buona e varia per la categoria. Il giudizio complessivo è buono

Far from city center (30-40 min by bus). Bus/tram connection is ok. Acces by car is ok. Breakfast was poor. Nice view and relaxing.

Ventanas sin cortinas para la luz. Complicadisimo de encontrar. Aire acondicionado solo durante algunas horas. Comida excelente. Precio muy ajustado.
