Not only as good as most descriptions of it, but the location is outstanding - in a pedestrian zone in an old quarter that is half-way to being renovated, and still south-central in what is a larger city centre than appears. Part of the hotel's success must be that it is Dutch-owned/managed, and their vibrant attitude and enthusiasm keeps it as good as it is.

The greatest situation in the heart of the old town. Small hotel but not without charm, with excellent breakfast (fresh fruits and juices!).

The hotel is in one of the lovely pedestrian walks in Bucharest and is a beautifully restored and appointed small hotel. The executive rooms are spacious with high ceilings and wooden floor boards and beautiful picture windows overlooking the copper roof and dome of the National Bank across the road. Great location with lots of good cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance.

By carFrom Piata Victoriei and Piata Romana: continue south on Blvd Magheru, pass Piata Univeristate and stay in the right lane. After passing the Bucharest Museum of History and Art turn right into Strada Ion Ghica. Continue straight for about 200 metres until you arrive in Smardan Street. You will see the Rembrandt Hotel on your left hand side.
From Piata Unirii: continue north on I.C Bratianu Blvd and remain in the left lane. At the first traffic-light turn left onto Doamnei Street. Continue along this street and before the National Romanian Bank turn left into Smardan Street. You will see the Rembrandt Hotel on your left hand side.
